Kakashi-Onii!

C h a p t e r O n e _ Kakashi's a softie

It was four in the morning, six months after the nine tails attack. In one of the neighborhoods which wasn't wrecked during the attack, four houses down, was a 14 year old Hatake Kakashi, rocking a drowsy six month old baby Naruto , eyes red and tired, his hair flopping from the lack of rest. He places a now sleeping Naruto into his crib and watching the child's chest rise and fall softly with soft snores until he smiled slightly at his sensei's child and patted his short blonde spiky hair and standing at the doorway before going into the guest bedroom and slipping under the covers, almost immediately falling asleep. 

The next morning, He got up, washed his face, and went across the hall to Naruto's room. When he opened the door,he was met with cerulean eyes, shiny  with tears, and chubby hands reaching up towards him, and a bottom lip quivering.  Kakashi smiled at him  and picked him up before sliding down his mask to his chin and proceeding to have a small conversation with the  small child as he walked to the kitchen. 

"y'know,I really thought that taking care of you would suck, but, your kinda cute, and quieter than expected. You look so much like sensei, it's not even funny. You do have Kushina-senpai's face and smile, though your eyes are bordering purple, but somehow so blue. Your amazing, you know? I promise, that even if im not there for you, I'll watch over you, 'kay, Naru-chan?"

He only received a happy gurgle in response, and he just chuckled at the baby and put him in his high chair before turning around to the fridge and picking out a little jar that said "Peaches and apples", grabbed a green plastic spoon, and pulled a chair out and set it in front of the high chair before unscrewing the lid and dipping in the spoon, grabbing a decent amount on the spoon before looking up and realized  that Naruto had his mouth wide open, waiting for the food. Kakashi laughed lightly  and fed him the spoonful and smiled at the hum of  satisfaction he produced and continued to feed him. 

Once it was gone, he put the spoon in the sink and the empty container in the trash, he chose a  random bottle and nipple and placed it on the counter before turning around and grabbing the tub of formula before turning to the drawer of silverware and picking out a spoon. he poured water from a water pitcher into the baby bottle before putting it in the microwave to heat. When it was done he poured in two spoonfuls of formula into the bottle before mixing it and putting the nipple on and shaking it, then put it into the hands of Naruto, who had been pouting with his arms out for a few minutes.

 After Naruto chugged it down-in a hurry,he noted-Kakashi picked him up and walked to the bathroom, smiling at the small gurgles Naruto produced, him trying to have a conversation. He placed him on the counter and undressed him. he sat him in the sink and turned on both the hot and cold, to make the water warm. He bends over to open the cupboard  and grabs a cup, and straightens  to get a water splash to the face. He looks at Naruto with a raised eyebrow before gathering  water in the cup and pouring it over his head, emitting giggles from him. He opens the medicine cabinet and picks up the baby shampoo and gently pours some over his head-after telling Naruto  to close his eyes, obviously. - It was clear to him after a while that Naruto really liked baths, but he loved getting dirty as well. It was amusing, to say the least, watching him play with his food and then pout at how dirty he was, which he then proceeds to stare Kakashi down until he gives him a bath.-Kakashi washes him off with the help of the cup, and turns around  to grab the towel from the rack. He wraps Naruto in the towel and carries him to his room.

Kakashi sets the child down on his dresser before  picking out a light orange shirt with the Uzumaki swirl on the back and tan cargo shorts with little toddler ninja sandals. He picks Naruto up and walks to the bathroom  and dries his hair with a blow dryer. Once he made sure Naruto's hair wasn't damp, Kakashi then left Naruto in his playpen in his room while he showered.

When Kakashi got out of the shower, he opened the door to find Naruto staring at him with shining blue eyes, full of curiosity. He chuckled and picked him up and carried him to his room, where he proceeded to plop him on the bed while He picked out a mask to wear and put it on. He made sure to put on the extra one before picking up Naruto in his arms and putting on his winter scarf and hat, along with the absolutely adorable mittens. Kakashi cooed at him and smile at his giggle and gave him his little pug plushie before picking him up and shunshined to the Hokage's office.

Bowing, he put Naruto on the desk before he turned around and shunshined away. Hiruzen sighed at the boy's actions, he knew Kakashi loved Naruto, but the boy refused to show it in public. He looked at the six month old on his desk with a smile and sat him on his lap, where, a little while later, Naruto proceeded to fall asleep on his lap, which made Hiruzen  smile lightly and chuckle under his breath, half focusing on signing papers, half focused on the soft, even breathing of Naruto.
