Chapter One- Where Am I?

I awoke to find my self in complete darkness. The smell of wet dog

filled my room. I closed my eyes again and tried to find my pillow. I

reached behind me, but instead of a soft cushion, my hand hit something

hard. I felt the object to discover what it was. The object was

covered in fabric. "What?" I mumbled to my self.

I spread my arms only to find that I was surrounded by this fabric.

My glasses were by my side so I slide them on. I turned my head and

found a glow in the dark handle that has a car with its trunk open.

The lever had a down symbol on it. "No, it can't be." I told my self.

The sound of an engine started up. The malodorous smell of gasoline made my eyes

water. I felt around and found an weird object. I picked it up and

felt it with my hands. "A flashlight!" I screamed in my head. I found

the button and turned it on. Nothing happened. I pressed it again and

the flashlight turned on. I shined it and the roof of the truck and

saw the wires that opened the trunk.

I shined it around the truck and saw my dog wagging his tail.

"Skippy!" I yelled softly. I sat up the best I could and pat him. He

held his right paw to himself and shivered a bit. I pulled his paw away from

him, carefully. He had a cut about 1 inch long and 1 and 1/2 centimeters

deep. I gasped and dropped the flashlight. I picked it up and shined

it around the trunk. Stuffed in a corner was a bag.

I crawled over to the bag and unzipped it. I pulled out a box witch

read 'First Aid Kit'. I quickly open it up and found some band aids. I

got some medicine and put it on the gaze of the band aid. I crawled

back over to him and set the flashlight down. I applied the band aid

to his hurt leg. I grabbed a towel from the bag and wiped up some

dried blood from his fur.

I smiled as he wagged his tail. I brushed the fur back on his head.

Skippy licked his lips as his stomach growled. I looked in the bag to

try to find something to eat. I got lucky and found a bag of dog food.

A note was attached to it. 'Use it wisely' I opened the bag and set it

by him. He dug his face in it.

I searched the bag some more and found a pocket knife. I opened it to find

another note. 'To bad you don't have a whetstone' I looked in the bag

and found nothing that I could sharpen the knife with. The car came to a stop. I took the food from Skippy and stuffed it in the bag. He looked at me and pawed my arm. I

pushed his paw off my arm. I put the first aid kit in bag and zipped

it up.I attached the flashlight to the belt loop of my jeans. I grabbed

Skippy's collar and faced the handle.

I had the open knife in my left hand and had Skippy in my right

hand. The truck popped open with a man in a mask standing there. I

jumped out the car and stabbed him in the stomach and twisted the knife around a bit. He fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

I pulled the knife out of him and took off to the woods with Skippy behind me.
