He was watching you again. You sighed and shifted in your chair uncomfortably trying to avoid looking at Jack, who was watching you and your mom eat dinner in the kitchen.
"Is there something wrong (Y/N)?"
You shook your head. "Nope! Everything is fine and nothing is wrong why do you ask?"
Your mother stared at you from across the table with a raised eyebrow. "Honey, you've been staring at the window with a scary look on your face since we started eating."
"o-oh...aha...Um..." you mumbled quickly stuffing your face to avoid giving your mother an answer. Glancing out the kitchen window you spotted Jack holding his stomach and shaking as if he was laughing. He most likely was. The bastard.
You mentally groaned. Ever since you had met Jack in the forest he had started to appear and disappear in and out of your life at random. Most of the time when he would appear you would be alone and the two of you would hang out. But whenever he dropped by when there were other people around - like now - he would be a little shit. He would always make sure to never let the other people know that he was around, ducking into the shadows and disappearing if there was a danger of people other than you seeing him. If there wasn't a danger of him being seen by the other people he would play small pranks; moving your guests car keys to a different room, hiding your mom's shoes, putting clean dishes with the dirty ones in the sink. If he wasn't able to play his small pranks then he would be annoying you in the background making rude gestures at the loud people he didn't like or simply doing things that would make you drop your head into your hands.
Finishing your dinner you quickly excused yourself from the table and stuck your dishes into the sink. "I need some fresh air. I'm going to take a walk in the woods." You grabbed your jacket and pulled it on as you rushed out the door before Jack could start throwing acorns at the window. Quickly walking into the woods you sighed. "Really Jack? Don't you know how to wait?"
"I do. I just got tired of waiting." A slightly muffled yet husky voice softly said beside your left ear. Stifling a shriek you jumped away from Jack who was doubled over in laughter.
"Gods above Jack! Don't scare me like that!"
Jack cackled turning away from you to adjust his mask. "Your reactions whenever you get scared are so funny!"
You frowned. "Ha, ha really funny Jack. Now let's go before I change my mind for going on this walk."
"Alright, alright." Jack chuckled following you deeper into the woods.
The ship, it swayed, heave ho, heave ho,
On the dark and stormy blue,
And I held tight to the Captain's might
As he pulled up his trews.
"You haven't slept," heave ho, he said,
"In many suns and moons."
"Oh, I will sleep when we reach shore,"
"And pray we get there soon."
He said, "Now hush love, here's your gown."
"There's the bed, lantern's down."
