Chapter13

Nandini was having a long day at hospital. Back to back operations & she didn't even had the time to have her lunch. It was now 9pm when her phone rang. She saw the caller id which was displaying navya.

Nandini-"yes navya? "
Navya-"when are you coming back it's too late now"
Nandini-"will be back in 30 minutes.dont worry."
Navya- "OK. Come soon."
They hung up.

Nandini left the hospital by 10.She reached home & settled on the couch resting her head.

"Where are the others?" Nandini asked.

"Practicing. They haven't practiced in forever & now they have their concert after 4 days so you should also start preparing." Navya said.

"Nandu you are sure about singing in the concert. Right?" Navya asked carefully.

"Yes navya I am fine about it & don't worry I was a pro at singing back in college" nandini boasted lightning the mood but somewhere she was also scared.

"So what's the status between you & manik now?" navya asked & nandini's face went blank immediately.

"I don't know navya. I am getting all soft on him these days but sometimes it still hurts deep down. I know he shouldn't effect me like that but still he does. He's the first ever person who made me feel so many emotions at the same time. I am happy at this moment & then sad. Sometimes I want to give him a second chance but I am scared of getting hurt again. I was getting aloof from people because I don't want to get hurt. I have not completely forgiven him but I am on my way to completely forgive him. It will take time but eventually I know I will forgive him."

"Nandini, manik is a great guy you should probably give him a chance. He had also suffered just like you but it's just that it was his own mistake. Try to give him a chance to forgive him alright. Now let's go & have dinner."

''I am not hungry. I will just sleep now" nandini said lowly & went to her room.

Nandini was lying on her bed thinking about what navya had said & went to a deep slumber.

Fab5's jamming session was over & they saw navya deep in her thoughts.

"What happened navya? Everything's good?" Cabir asked.

"Yeah was just thinking about nandini"

"Isn't she back yet?" Manik asked worriedly.

"She's back & slept already. It's just that she's healing now. She's forgiving manik. She's not mad or angry on him anymore." Navya said deep in her thoughts.

"Really?" Manik asked excitedly.

Navya nodded.

Manik was having an ear to ear smile which was noticed by everyone.

"I should put more efforts to make her talk to me. But what am i supposed to do?" Manik asked massaging his temples.

"Maybe you should leave it on time & fate. See nandini has also healed with time. She's ready to give you a chance" navya said rubbing his shoulder.

"Navya fate didn't wanted us togethet & time........ "manik laughed sarcastically "we have already lost 5 years. I can't wait anymore" he whispered merely.

"I understand manik." Navya said assuringly.

"Guys enough of the senti moments let's have a group hug" mukti suggested.

Fab5 along with abhi came close to hug but manik pulled navya & said
"You are also a part of us" & kissed her forehead.

Navya was feeling so overwhelmed by his gesture & has the biggest smile.
Cabir saw navya with a knowing smile & she returned the smile.

Sometimes you don't need a family to love you or support you because sometimes you have friends too as your second family who are always there in your thick & thin moments. This theory was proved by these people who always stood by their friends no matter what the situation is.

"Alright let's get off to sleep. I am really tired." Alya said her eyes dropping.

"Yes let's go" dhruv said & took her to their room.

"Good night" navya wished as she went upstairs.

"Good night" everyone else wished.

In Cabir & Manik' s room

Cabir was already in the room & was ready to sleep.

Cabir was deep in his thoughts.
Haaye ram roz-roz itna drama. Kabhi koi rota hai toh kabhi koi aur.
Mujhe toh lagta hai mai kisi daily soap mei hoo. I should probably sleep because I have so many jobs to do which makes me tired everyday. Yeah now you people will think what jobs.
1) to bear manik ke tantrums on daily basis.
2) a drummer (duh you people already know)
3) to be a Cupid 24/7 (damn that's tiring thinking all day long popping ideas out of this brilliant head so exhausting i tell you)

Manik entered the room & saw  cabir's clothes scattered around.
He took a step forward & something came under his foot. He made a disgusting face when he saw it was cabir's underwear.

"Tighty whities, what are you 8?" Manik asked annoyingly breaking his trance.

"India is a free country & they have given me all the rights to wear whatever i want. So you my boy can't say anything." Cabir  said pointing his index finger at him.

Manik just made a what-the-hell-are-you-saying-look.

"You are saying that because you want to get in my pants. Am I right?" Cabir said seductively biting his lower lip.

Manik' s jaw literally hit the floor. He came out of the shock.

"Eww Cabir you are disgusting as fuck" manik said annoyingly.

Cabir just smiled victorily.

He propped up on the bed maintaning a distance from him.

"Am i safe enought  to sleep here tonight?" Manik mumbled & cabir laughed hysterically.

"Btw bro what's up with you & navya?"

Manik asked making his laughter at a hault.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean when are you going to tell her about your feelings"

"I dont know but i will soon tell her. Lets sleep for now." Cabir said switching the lights off.
