CHAPTER 4

(Vic's POV)

I saw the most hideous thing, seeming as if at that moment, Mom wouldn't care.

I didn't know that Amaury was even here until this moment.

They'd been hanging out as if they were friends, but I didn't realize it was more than that.

They had been making out...

"Oh sorry dear. Yes, we will have dinner, and he's joining us"

Amaury looked back at me and smiled awkwardly, just to cover us what I saw.

"Seems like you already had your dinner", I said.

Thankfully I never saw more than what I saw, if not, I would have cringed.

Normally when Mom was on TV having her "moments", I wasn't as bad for me.

Most of those "moments" I saw were with Dad, so it wasn't weird for me.

But that would no longer happen after Cameron's departure.

Summer 2010 (Vic's POV)

So, honestly, I did not like him, even if he brought me gifts.

Usually when he'd come over he'd be all sweet with me whenever Mom was around.

Maybe so he could show her he is "father material."

He'd also even give Ava puppy treats to make things even more and more sweet.

We went on a lot of vacations that year, especially in the summer.

Amaury had to come with us, and Ava EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Mostly, he'd be part of fundraisers in Puerto Rico, in which he invited us to come.

Mom would always enjoy connecting with all the people that she met there.

I think what really attracted Mom to him was the fact that he gave to people I need.

I didn't think that was bad, but something just wasn't right to me.

I didn't want to say anything, but Amaury seemed suspicious to me.

So was this guy going to be my "new" father?

Heck no! I would never let Amaury take his place, never ever!

My father was always going to be Jesse Spencer, and that was never an argument.

Weeks later we all got to go to the Star Trek premiere.

I was really excited to see Mom so happy when she was there.

She got to go down the red carpet just like the rest of the stars that arrived.

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Chris Hemsworth, were all there as well.

I got to shake stands with them, which was absolutely awesome!

After the doors opened, we were all able to go inside to watch the movie!

There were seats reserved for all us the attendees, which was so amazing to be able to see.

"Jennifer Morrison", "Victoria Morrison", but right next to Mom I saw, "Amaury Nolasco".

Great! I thought this was going to be some mom and daughter bonding time, away from him.

But unfortunately, that was never the chance now that Mr. Rich Guy was here.

"Hey babe", Amaury came to sweeten up, as he gave Mom a kiss.

They noticed I turned back, not wanting to see ANYTHING!

"Hey Vic, look what I brought you!"
