Clay POV
'Clay, time to get up honey' I hear as my arm is nudged softly. I murmur and open my eyes slowly, my mothers figure towers over me.
'Mm,thanks mom. I'll go make breakfast' I sit up in bed and scratch my head, my mother left me to my own devices.
Getting up I walk to my drawers and open them slightly, pulling out a grey shirt and some pants from my neatly folded piles,I slip them on before going about my morning routine.
The eggs sizzle in the pan, I stand over the hot stove as my mother walks in 'hey honey' she says as she gives me a hug, something my mother gave me everyday, ever since my brother passed away she's been very quiet. I remember when we were kids he would always pull my hair because it was so long, he'd tell my I have a clay brain, hehe. This year I'll be older than he ever was.
'Come and get it!' I yell and later two tabby cats run in to the kitchen, I place the bowls down for then to eat and I give them a good morning pet. I giggle to my self as I pour coffee into my mothers cup, before I start eating I put my hand on the table for prayer.'dear lord please watch over us and bless the food we are about to eat amen' I say before I dig in, looking at my watch I realise the time. 'Oh, shit I'm gonna be late ', I take a big mouthful . 'Gotta go mom love you' I gave her a kiss on her head and I ran out the door.
