The door opened and Cobbett was exposed to the real world once more. He stepped outside, breathed in and sighed. "Merrr" Cobbett exclaimed and walked off into the dense undergrowth of Western Somalia. Before long he had reached a village. It was still light but dusk was fast approaching. He had to find somewhere safe to stay for the night or else the gangsters of the night could kill him. People were slowly walking back to their huts and beginning to lock up for the night. Cobbett spotted a family of three and ran over to talk to them. "Can I stay here for the night?" he asked politely. The Somalians stared inquisitively and didn't reply. They did not understand English. Cobbett began to worry that he would be a victim of the Mandems of the night. He had to find somewhere he could rest and not be in any danger. He looked around the village for minutes before finding the perfect thing. And old boat used by the fishermen who catch fish for the whole village. The Cobbett stood still and contemplated whether he should take the boat and escape or leave the village with food and keep the fishermen happy. Cobbett made his choice. He took the boat, started up the motor and was out to sea in no time.
