Chapter 4

Aidan's POV

I woke up this morning with the same headache and tired eyes. Life sucks. I was going to the mall with Carter today so I had to get out of bed. I have to go out and see people and dress up and ugh.

I get out of bed and get showered and dressed. The water felt nice. I felt refreshed.

I put on leggings, a sweater that said "Stressed, Depressed but well dressed" and my galaxy vans. I straighten my long, brown hair and a beanie on.

I checked the time on my phone. 10:30. I text carter to see when he was gonna pick me up.

Aidan

When are you gonna pick me up?

Carter

I was thinking 11. Does that work?!? ☺️

Aidan

That is fine. See you then! 😊

I head downstairs and grab breakfast and watch some tv. I hear a knock on the front door. I grab my purse and answer it.
"Let's go!" carter says leading me to the car. He opens my door and I get in. He hops in the drivers seat and pulls out of the driveway

"So what's up?" Carter asks.
"Nothing, just thinking." I reply
" 'bout what?" Carter says with a concerned tone in his voice.
"Why someone would cheat on me. It's not fair. I loved him." I say what was on my mind.
"It's not fair. You don't deserve that. Your an amazing girl and you deserve someone who will treat you like you are." carter says
"Thanks Carter"

The rest of the car ride was silent. We pull into the mall parking lot. He finds a spot and we get out.

"Where first?" I ask Carter as soon as we get into the mall.
"Well I wanted to go to Vans to get some new shoes." I nod and we walk into the Vans store. Carter looks around until he just gets a pair of red vans. I end up getting a sweatshirt and floral vans. We check out.

"Hey Carter, I have to into PINK, if you want you can do something else and I'll go in by myself." I tell him. I know boys hate it in here. Kirk would never go with me.
"No, it's okay, I'll go in. It's not problem!" He says. We walk in and his face goes pale. I walk over to the underwear table and start looking for my size. Carter is looking at the sweatshirts. I giggle at him. He starts walking over to me.

"Are you almost done?" He asks.
"We haven't even been here for a minute. I said you could do something and we can meet up later"
"Okay I'll just go wait outside." He walks out and leaves me by myself.

Carter's POV

Man that store is expensive and well very girly. I go out and sit on the bench that's right in front of the store. I spot Aidan's ex, Kirk. That guy is a total jerk. He heads towards me. Great.

"Hey Carter! Are you here with Aidan?" Kirk says sitting next to me.
"Yeah, why do you care?"
"I really need to talk to her."
"Sorry, she doesn't wanna talk to you." I say in her defense.
"You wouldn't know."
"I do know actually. You cheated on her. And she's done with you." I say and stand up. He stands up and puts his hands on my shoulders.
"You wouldn't want her. She's annoying and a terrible kisser. All she's good for is her looks." He says. That's when I lose it. I punch him hard in the face.
"She's... perfect.... She.... Deserves...... Someone...... who.... will..... treat...... her..... right!" I say between every punch. I have him down on the ground now. His face is bleeding. I see Aidan run out of the store and security guards are running towards me. Aidan's lifts me off of him and the guards grab Kirk.
"C'mon carter, we are leaving." Aidan says dragging me toward the exit.
