My Brother's Worst Enemy

Chapter Fifteen ( Jade's POV )

I didn't see this conversation coming up on this ride , and to be honest I didn't mind talking about it with Jacob . He's not really as bad as I made him seem in my head . I sat there quiet for a while trying to remember how it all started .

" Well , it started when Tony hit me for the first time ... " he looked over at me . He put up his hand up in the signal that means just stop right there .

" First time ? What do you mean it was more then once ? " I shrugged and nodded my head in agreement .

" Pretty much , it's been a few times . But that's not the whole story. So the first time I went home with a bruised arm . So Alex questioned me . So I told him what with more or less details . After the first time I got used to his aggressiveness . He would squeeze me really tight . I wouldn't really call it hitting ." he started looking at me crazy . We were close to the Steak & Shake so I tried finishing the story .

" How'd Alex get into the pot ? " Jacob asked before I could continue the rest of the story .

" I think it was the third time he put his hands on me , I had a mark on my neck . I don't really remember what me and Tony were arguing about but it must of have got really serious . I blacked out after he choked me . " I tried getting to the end but it's a really complicated story .

" And are ya'll still together ? " he asked taking a back road so it would take a little longer .

" Yeah , I love Tony . I mean we all have issues right ? " I asked defending our relationship .

" Well , Alex must have been pissed about the marks on your neck of all places . " I nodded .

" Ofcourse , then he went and did the worst thing a brother could ever do . " I started shaking my head . The whole thing started replaying in my head .

" Which was ? " I kept shaking my head . " We don't have to talk about it . " He continued .

" It's already said . He went and shot at him . After Tony took the gun and threw it Alex decided to beat the living daylight out of him . It was the worst day of my life . " Jacob looked so surprised .

" He really had him at gun point ? " I nodded and Jacob was stuck in disbelief .

" Alex never said sorry , he never talked about it with me . He just assumed it was alright . But I never let it go . I've never went beating up on his nasty ex's . But he's Alex so he thinks alright . " I shrugged . I had just enough time to finish my story .

" You should talk to him about that . I personally think Alex did to much , but a Tony did put his hands on you . " he said as he parked the car in the closet parking spot to the door .

" I don't know why everyone assumes Tony is automatically the bad guy , I sometimes NEED to be jacked and put in place . I'm not always this chill . " he opened his door as did I . He walked ahead and opened the door and I walked in him following behind me . We got seated and ordered our drinks . Even though our waitress was dressed half nude he didn't pay her any attention . I bet he's such a gentlemen on dates .

" Back to this Tony vs. Alex thing . " he said trying to pick up where we left off .

" It can wait Alex has enough to explain to me already . " I said grabbing a menu and looking at it as if I was finding a meal . I really just didn't want to look up at Jacob . He started laughing . " What's so funny ? " I asked putting the menu back against the table . " This is stupid . He's upset we slept in the same room but then sends us out the house alone . " he continued laughing . I didn't really find Alex's stupidity funny but Jacob's laugh was so cute . I chuckled at his laugh .

" Ya'll relationship is so confusing . He was worried sick why ya'll were apart and ya'll get together and won't even talk ." I looked at him confused . Alex worried about someone beside himself . I didn't want to ask why would he be worried . I just watched him giggle away , his smile was so cute . He was showing all his teeth . All those pearly whites just shined in the light . I just smiled at him , then I noticed I was smiling a little to hard so I stopped . I started thinking about Tony , he probably worried sick about me but I guess it's for the best he don't know i'm with Alex . " Can I take ya'll order ? " a deep voice asked . I looked up to my left a guy stood over the table in his little work outfit . He had a pen and pad in his hands . " Why yes you can . " I responded grabbing my menu . " I'll have a sausage biscuit . Thank you . " Jacob said while he wrote it I joined my order " Me to . Thanks. " .

" I'll have that out in a few , be right back with refills ." He said putting his pad and pen in that little pocket on the apron .

" Mhmkay . " and he walked away and I looked at Jacob who was giving me this weird smirk . " Why that face ? " he continued to smirk . It looked like one of those faces Milly do . " OhMyGlob , what I do ? " I asked again . " Somebody enjoys the view of the waiter . " he answered teasing me . " I do not , he wasn't even all that . " I said defending myself . I still grinned , really hard . " Well , you should act more like it . Cause you had a real flirty look in your eyes . Don't make me call Tony . " he continued joking . I laughed . " What Tony gonna do ? He got our waitress number yesterday . He thought I didn't notice the receipt . " I responded just as that waiter walked back up with our refills . " This is for you ..... and this one for you . " he said placing our cups on the table . " About your name ? " I asked as put Jacob's cup on the table . " Darren . " he responded looking at me in the eyes . His eyes weren't what I was used to . Most dudes be having those deep light brown eyes his were a dark brown damn near black but I still drowned in them . " Oh , cool . I'm Jade . " He smiled .

" I'll be back with ya'll food in a sec. " He said looking back at the door to the kitchen . " Kk . " I said looking down at my phone screen . As he walked away Jacob started laughing again . " What now ? " I said not looking up because his smile keeps making me weak . " Oh , nothing . You just really spitting game right in front of someone who knows about your boyfriend . You pretty bold . " He said still laughing . " I don't mind having a few back up plans . Me and Tony not forever . " I said in a serious tone . " Why don't you believe in forever ? " I shrugged . He sure is getting to personal . I don't get to close to people , but he is really reaching out . I don't see why , I don't need another person on my friends list .

I saw Darren walking over with our meals , so I sat up straight and fixed my bang . " Don't get to cute . " Jacob teased .... again . I'm here to get my flirt on and nobodies stopping me . " Here is ya'll biscuits . " he said placing the plates on the table . I slid mine closer to me , and looked back at Darren . I was totally staring . He laughed , " What's so funny ? " I asked flipping my hair all flirtatious like . " Maybe he laughing at you staring at the side of his head . " Jacob jumped in laughing . His joke made Darren laugh harder , I didn't think it was to funny . I said with a 'stfu' face at Jacob and he stopped laughing . " I wasn't staring , I was just looking at his earring " I said trying to cover up for staring . " Oh you like that ? " he said chuckling . " I don't .. " I said laughing . " That's not what that staring said . " he replied cracking up . " Whatever . " I lose that one and I didn't mind giving up .
