A DECADE AGO....:
I was walking down the streets of New York. I had just moved from what humans call
"London ". I want to explore the human world. I check what humans call a cellphone to see what time it was.3:00 p.m.
I sighed. Right on schedule. Suddenly, a male who looked like a 30 year old man, had taken my phone."Hey!" I screamed. "Give it back!" I ran after him. On the way, I bumped into a girl with purple hair. "Watch it!" She yelled. Then she began to cry. I stopped for a moment. "Um... D-Don't cry little girl." I stuttered. I was always bad with comforting people.
I rubbed her back but I wanted to catch the imbecile who stole one of my prized possessions.
"I know! Why don't you help me catch a man who stole my phone?" "Phone? What's a phone?"I was startled. "You don't know what a phone is?""Uh.... I mean, let's go!" She got up from the floor, grabbed my hand and started running. Something was off. How does she not know what a phone is? Is she not human?I shook the thought out of my head but then came in a new one. This girl seemed oddly familiar.
I sighed and pushed my stupid ideas out of my head and focused on the main matter.
We took multiple turns until we caught up with the bastard in an alley way. I launched myself to toward him and tackled him. He fell instantly and the phone slid on the floor. I picked it up to find that there was no damage.I sighed in relief. I turned back to the man who was still lying on the floor. I hit a part of his shoulder and then he was knocked out cold. Then, I rested him against the brick wall. "Good work!" said the girl. "Thanks, Sophia!"She smiled but then froze. "How did you know that was my name?" My eyes widened. "I.... I honestly don't know. I just had your name at the top of my tounge and then ZOOP! It came out." She tilted her head but smiled a little. "I guess it goes with the fact that you're not human." I blinked in shock. "How did you.....?"
"Everyone who's like us, always meets like this!" I scrunched my eyebrows together. "Even the part where you cried?""Uh, no. That was an extra. But since I've found you, I want you to meet some of my friends that are like us!" She cheered and held out a hand. "So what do you say? Friends?"
I hesitated at first but then I softened and took her hand. "Friends." I smiled. "Good! We're going to meet here again tomorrow at 3:15. After the introduction and whatnot, we're going to a café. Sound like a plan?""Definitely. Well, I'll see you later, love!" I said waving goodbye. "Bye!"She grinned.
I ran to my new house that surprisingly wasn't far from that area I met Sophia. I walked in the house, took a bath, changed into my pajamas. I lied there in bed but I couldn't sleep. What are these people like? Are they nice ? After a long time of having to think about my meeting, I fell asleep. The next day, I did my morning jog, came home to eat breakfast, took a shower, slept and woke up at 2:55 p.m to change my cloths. I looked in my closet. I wanted something fancy. I searched through the mess until I found the perfect outfit.
I put it on and rushed out the door. I went to the same spot from yesterday and waited. And waited and waited. No one came. As I turned around, I heard a few voices around the corner. One of them was Sophia's. "Why are we here again?" Said a girl."Its a surprise! " answered Sophia. Just before they reached the alley way, I climbed up the wall and stood on the roof."Right this way!" said Sophia. "And here she is!" She announced. Sophia was confused along with the others to see no one.
"Um, who are you talking about?" Said a boy with red hair."I....I don't understand. She said she would come back." Suddenly, she began to cry. They all hugged her. A man with Tape around his face looked at the boy with red hair and he nodded.
"Tape Face said that who ever you're talking about is a complete jerk. So don't worry about it." He smiled.
"Yeah. I guess you're right."she said, wiping her eyes. "Let's go to the café." They nodded and started to leave. I jumped down from the roof. I walked up behind them and stood there. "Well obviously, you don't know me very well. Do you now Sophia? And you called us friends." I sneered.
