Cath was sitting at her desk writing more of Keep Coming, Simon. This was the new book she was writing after Carry On, Simon. Her fans seemed to love that Simon and Baz were moving out into the real world – Simon's world, not the World of Mages. Levi was laying on her bed listening to another Audiobook, because he still hadn't learnt to not get bored with a story after reading the first page. Reagan was banging on her crappy piece of metal that didn't cut the script as a laptop. Wren had decided to expand her world and had become Victoria's girlfriend. Victoria was a girl she met at Muggsy's at the start of this year. She decided that Alejandro was a lost cause, and had given up on that gender completely. Well, for now anyway. Anyway, they were both on Reagan's bed, talking in low conversation. Cath wondered why they didn't just go to their dormitory, they were roommates, after all.
Cath gave up on the scene that she was writing, because it was particularly hard. It was about Baz trying to hide his fangs, whilst Simon was trying to convince him to buy a particular apartment that only overlooked a parking lot. She was about to call her dad, when her phone started ringing. When she checked the number, she recognised it as Abel's. She picked it up, and he immediately answered.
"Hi."
"Hey." Cath answered.
"Cath... I wanted to apologise. For last year. When I dropped you. I realised that we were meant to be, and that Katie was a slut. I want to at least be friends, but preferably, more."
"Oh. Um... That kinda won't work out. You see, I'm dating –"
Beep.
Abel had hung up. Was he really that naïve? Did he really think that Cath was so lonely, so pathetic, that she couldn't even cope without him? She had to calm down. She was getting worked up over nothing. But it was unbelievable. He was so... so... annoying! Why couldn't he accept that Cath had moved on. She was really annoyed! Why? WHY?!
"Calm down, Cath." She told herself.
Levi saw her lips move, and removed the headphones.
"Sorry?" he asked whilst smiling.
Cath rolled her eyes. Levi was always smiling, and sometimes it just annoyed her. Cath sighed.
"Nothing." She stated, whilst trying really hard to keep a blank face so that Levi wouldn't think something was up, even though her ex-boyfriend had just called. Levi didn't believe her anyway, but he let it drop.
