It was the last day on Arus

It was the last day on Arus. I was in my regular clothes and normal hairstyle. So, I took that advantage by finding healing herbs on the planet. It made me think that the same thing could happen again where the crystal is broken and someone is badly injured. I left the Castle with a bowl, I didn't need the notebook that I wrote the herbs because I memorized what they look like, where to find them, and what they can cure. First, I found a giant tree as tall as a sycamore with blunz seeds used to ease pain. Good thing I'm an awesome climber, when I got to the top there were just thousands of dark purple hard pea size seeds that were definitely blunz. I took all of the seeds, then climbed down carefully. When I got to a thick branch I set the bowl down and started doing gymnastics like on a beam. Before I did anything it was getting cold so I put on my pink flannel that was tided around my waist. I did a ariel, round off, then a backhand spring step out.

"Are you stuck?" I heard a voice. It startled me that I feel off the branch closing my eyes and in to arms. I opened my eyes looking at the person, it was Keith in his normal clothes. "You startled me," I said catching my breath. "I didn't mean to," He said sarcastically, "Here let me get the bowl for you." Keith looked up at the branch, put me down and started to climb to the branch, he grabbed the bowl, then carefully climbed down.

"What are doing up there?" Keith yelled, "Are you trying to crack your head?" He gave me the bowl. "I'm collecting herbs," I pouted, taking the bowl. "What type of herbs?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Space healing herbs because if the cyrstal breaks again and someone's hurt I can heal them," I stated, walking away, "You can come if you want. I could us an extra hand."

Keith is a friend even though we have quarrels all the time. Still we have a lot of things in common like we are both lone wolves and has awesome fighting skills.

He padded over to my side to join.

"Okay, we have blunz, yarina, frotain, and the rest. I just need stemshine," I looked through the bowl of many different herbs we just collected. "Where can you find stemshine?" He asked, his hands where in his pockets and he looked up at the sky. "Deep in a gorge, but not way deep," I explained, "Hmmm... I'll look over there and you can look over there behind the bushes and trees." I pointed in different directions.

We went in different directions. I was looking carefully looking around for a gorge for 20 minutes. "Dang it! I can't find it," I grabbed the bowl and looked for Keith.

"Keith, I can't find-," As I got out of the bushes I notice he wasn't there. I looked around, "Keith, where are you?" I walked in the direction he went. I heard a faint yell for help. I ran as fast as I can stopping at a super deep gorge. I looked down seeing Keith with both hands on a branch that was sticking out of the gorge wall. Deep in the gorge was a giant rushing river. "Help!" Keith held out his hand, but he was to far down. I notice the branch and gorge wall was about to fall in the river. "Please!" Keith groaned, putting his hand back on the stick. "I need you to trust me," I explained, getting to my knees and hands looking down at him. "Okay," Keith said. "I need you to fall," I explained. "What are you crazy!" He yelled and his eyes widen. "Do you trust me?" I asked. I have to do what I'm planning to do before Keith falls really deep into fast rushing water. He nodded "I'll catch you I promise," I said.

I got up running away from the gorge. I stopped, my bayard appeared in my hand. "Okay," I whispered to myself. I ran as fast as I can jumping off the edge of the gorge. My bayard turned to a long whip catching Keith's wrist when he was falling. My other hand grabbed on to a thick stick on the opposite side Keith was hanging. Keith grabbed on to the whip looking at the place where he hung, the stick fell into the river. I swung my bayard whip back and forth. Until I swung where Keith was out of the gorge. He landed on safe ground, looking at me hanging for dear life. "Now do you trust me?" He said. I nodded my head. "Jump I'll catch you. Don't worry Olivia, you won't fall in the river," He held his arms out. I put both of my feet on the gorge wall, pushing me off into Keith's arms. We rolled over far away from the gorge and closer near the Castle. We layed next to each other on the grass, our arms out, and looking at the night sky.

The cool part is that we were where I layed the bowl.

What a coincidence...

"You trusted me," I sighed in relief that we made it out alive. "And you trusted me," Keith said too. We both sat up looking at each other, I didn't notice Keith was slightly blushing. "You know what I see in you. Well this is out of the blue," I said, looking in his lilac eyes. "What?" Keith asked, raising an eyebrow. "I see you more than just a lone wolf. I see you as someone where if I can earn your trust and you will give me one hundred percent of it," I responded. "Maybe a thousand," Keith finished, "What I see in you is a girl that never wast her time in life and your battle strategies are amazing." He blushed even more, but I still didn't notice. "What gladiator level are you on?" I asked. "I'm on level 2 so far, don't worry I'll get higher I know it," He said, his personality never stops to amaze me. I still didn't know Keith's feelings for me as more than friends. "I'm on level 9," I bragged. He chuckled telling me that he can see a strong warrior in me.

"If I tell you my past will you give me all your desserts?" He layed back down, I did too. My long brown faux undercut hair was spread out on the grass. "Deal and you have to fight me," I smiled at the starlight sky. "The reason I am a lone wolf and have discipline issues is because I grew up in an orphanage," Keith said, I turned my head seeing him frown. "No parents?" I asked, he moved his head making a no.

Keith got up and he looked down at me. "Come on," He said, "I did promise you a battle." I got up. "I am more capable than what I look like," I warned him smirking as I drew my bayard whip, "Don't underestimate a warrior like me."

I charged at the paladin with my whip ready, swiping at his chest. Keith created space between the two of us. I skid back for a moment only to approach the mullet head, kicking at his knees with incredible speed. A cry escaped his mouth as he fell backwards. As I approached him with a raised whip, he jumped to his feet only for his sword to clash with my whip. I jumped back breathing heavily. It was hard to fight in the dark with a very good challenger. "I win then," Keith said, he put his bayard away. "Um, look down," I said, putting my hands on my hips and looking at his ankles. The paladin looked down to see my whip was tied around his ankles while I was still holding the handle. I pulled on my whip sending Keith falling on his back.

"I win," I said proudly. "Fine," He said blandly, getting up.

We got up to return to the Castle. "I guess all my desserts are gone," I said, while picking up the bowl full of herbs.

We talked on our way back to the Castle. I told him if he knew Audrey or Kalea. Keith only knew them when they had the same class together for a week. Then it turned to a regular funny conversation any friends would have.

Still Pidge's word rung in my head 'last is Keith, be careful with that one he will do what it takes to survive.' I ignored it, he was a really trustworthy friend and paladin.

Our rooms where in different directions where Keith went left and I went right. I guess everyone was already a sleep and Lance was in a healing pod. Keith looked down into my dark brown eyes. He reached into his pocket and pulling out stemshine.

"Here." He dropped greenish blue stems into the bowl. "I forgot to give you it. I hope it's enough," He said, scratching the back of his black mullet hair. "It's enough, thank you," I said, having a sweet smile. I waved to him good night, walking to my room to fall asleep in bed. My pulse started rushing just remembering his smile. What is this feeling?
