Hinata walked into the gym rather different today.
He didn't walk in with Kageyama like he usually does, nor did he have a wide smile on his face.
He simply slowly walked up to his volleyball mother and father and spoke quietly.
"Can we talk, along with Kageyama, outside for a bit?" He asks, rather seriously.
The captain and co-captain exchanges looks between each other but nodded nonetheless.
They we're both curious as to why the best decoy was talking in such a mannered and proper way.
This could only mean it was a serious matter.
The three walked outside as the rest of the team watched in wonder.
Once they were outside, Hinata walked over to Kageyama's side.
"So what is it you two wanted to talk about?" The mother of the team asked.
The freaky duo exchanged glances before sighing.
"What's a soulmate?" Kageyama finally asked after a minute of full silence.
The parents of the team exchanged a look of their own before giving the duo soft smiles.
"It's like a best friend but more." Daichi began, looking over at Sugawara.
"It's the one person in the world who knows you better then anyone else." Suga continues as he softly grabs Diachi's hand.
Hinata and Kageyama couldn't help but have flashbacks of when they yelled and faught against each other for each other.
"That someone makes you a better person." Sugawara said after a moment of silence.
"No, actually they don't make you a better person. You do that by yourself because they inspire you." He continued, softly squeezing the captains hand.
Hinata and Kageyma exchanged looks.
They unconsciously started thinking back at the times they yelled at each other about being invincible. They remembered how they practiced day and night for each other, without each other. They remembered how they watched each other do amazing things and how it inspired them.
They couldn't help it but remember everything all at once as Sugawara and Diachi continued explaining.
"A soulmate is someone you carry with you forever. It's the one person who knew you, accepted you and believed in you before anyone else did or when no one else would. And no matter what happens, you'll always love them-" Diachi smiled, not letting his gaze from Sugawara trail but his words as Suga finished them.
"-and nothing could ever change that." The co-captain wanted badly to just give his boyfriend a kiss but he knew better then that.
He was out here to solve their children's problems, not rub it in their faces how he has a boyfriend and they don't...yet.
Hinata gave out a little whine and did a cute pout.
Kageyama stared at Hinata, letting out a sigh.
The milk lover opened his mouth to speak but Hinata beat him to it.
"If you like me, just say so. You don't have to act all tsundere about it." Hinata said, giving an annoyed look towards Kageyama.
Kageyama on the other hand stuttered out a 'what?'
"You heard me. I like you. No- I feel all gwah! When I'm with you and basically what I am trying to say-I think- I love you. You are the one and only one that can make me feel all wahh and I am absolutely positive that you're my soulmate. You even make my heart go all ahhwa!" Most of his short speech consisted of noises but Kageyama understood it all.
"I love you too Hinata. And I'm glad you're my soulmate." He said as his face flushed red and he tried to hide his smile.
The parents of the team watched in awe but were surprised once again when Hinata leaped up and wrapped his arms around Kageyama's neck, bringing him down into a kiss.
It was a slow and passionate kiss. It could be described, in Hinata's words, as a bwahhwa moment.
They pulled apart though, as they started to hear whistles from their team around them.
"Ahh, let's, uh, go to my place then?" Kageyama asked.
All Hinata could do was nod and so that's what he did.
