I open my eyes, seeing a group of people dragging me to an isolated room that have a window and sat me at one of the chairs. I look at the window and I saw my sister, staring back at me looking worried.
I look at my right, I saw a man holding a needle with a blue substance walking towards me. "He will not hurt you, Elle. No need to be scared." A voice coming from nowhere spoke. Then I felt the long needle touch my skin, entering one of my vein as he inject the liquid to me. I close my eyes.
The moment I open it, I was back at my bedroom, safe and sound in my bed. The nightmare doesn't go away. That was the moment I became a monster.
I stood up, look at the mirror and felt my face. They wanted me to be someone else, but they failed and abandoned me with this monstrous powers. I heard footsteps walking towards my room. The footstep stopped and the door opened. "Good morning Elle," my sister spoke.
My sister protected me since I was young. Since they inject the formula inside me, the formula they believed will make them another hero like Steve Rogers. That moment may be years ago, but it felt like it was just yesterday.
"Pancakes for breakfast." She informed me. I stayed at the Avengers Tower since Steve learned that I was one of Shield's experiment. They said they will help me with my powers, but that was nearly impossible.
My sister opened my closet door, and grabs an outfit for me. We moved with the avengers just a few months ago, but it feels like home already. Sharon puts the outfit in my bed and said "get ready okay?" I nodded, as she exits the room and I started walking towards the bathroom.
After I took a shower and wore my clothes, I went to the dining room and immediately saw Wanda, Vision, Tony, Rhodey and Sam at the table while Natasha and Steve is cooking some breakfast. "Where's Sharon?" I asks and grabs a coffee at the counter. "She went out early." Tony answered. I sat down next to Wanda, "Isn't your first day at this school called, wait I forgot." Wanda said and when she went blanked, Vision and I laughed. "It's called Midtown High." I weakly answered. They entered me to this school, saying I can't work with them everyday. 'You need to go to school and live your life' Those words came from the one and only Steve Rogers.
"Do you guys have any mission today?" I sipped some of my coffee. "Yes, and you don't have to worry about it." Steve said, "just enjoy being a teen!" He added. I planted my face at my palm and the whole group laughed.
