CHAPTER 1
Jessica's POV
Sweat. And lots of it. I can see the condensation on the large glass entrance from the humidity that makes you want to faint.
I've never been a huge fan of clubs, to be honest. You see, my best friend, Leona, dragged me here, since we just graduated from our senior year at Winshill High School of Los Angeles. She is trying to convince me that summer is all about partying, and getting drunk. Well, I've never been the type. I have seen the side affects of drunk people and I really don't like it, so I made the wise decision of never drinking at party's. Sure, I'll have a glass of wine at family reunions but getting drunk is truly unnecessary.
"Jessss, come over here and dance with meee?" Leona begs, slurring her words. Damn, she's really wasted.
I shake my head in response. Every time i step on the dance floor it is the same cycle. I will grind with a random guy and he will tell me that I am hot. I guess I can see why they think I am attractive, I have wavy brown hair that falls just past my breasts, and big hazel eyes, that are just a little closer to green than hazel. My mother always tells me that I am blessed with great curves and a nice butt.
But I never take it any farther with these anonymous men. After all, I am still a virgin. It's not that I don't like to have fun at party's and all, but my mother did not make good decisions in the past and I promised myself not to make the same dumb mistakes that she made.
I realize about 10 minutes have passed and I have just been sitting at the bar alone. Just as I am about ready to grab Leona and get the hell out of this place, I feel a cold gust of wind followed by several loud, girly screams. I whip my head around to find 5 attractive boys that look to be around my age walk in the club. I recognize these boys, and I am almost positive that I have seen them somewhere before.
As security struggles to keep the screaming girls out of the small club, I see posters and t-shirts throughout the crowd of girls. Immediately, I remember why I recognized them.
They are One Direction, the British boy band who "stole the hearts of millions." Psh, bull. All celebrities are the same: they say a bunch of sweet shit on camera and then they just go and spend all the money they make on anything and everything imaginable.
Suddenly becoming very uninterested, I quickly grab Leona's arm and yank her through the crowd. As I push through the sweaty bodies, my shoulder collides with another shoulder.
I quickly turn around to apologize to whoever I hit.
I lock eyes with a boy's warm, blue eyes. As blue as the ocean on a beautiful beach day. Not only this, but he's blonde. I am a sucker for blondes.
Then I remember who this is. I know him as "the blonde one from that boyband". I no longer feel sorry for bumping into him, and just as I turn around to begin to walk away, I hear a voice with a beautiful Irish accent call out, "So sorry, love."
