Chapter 9:

Hannah's grandmother looks at her as if expecting her, not at all surprised.

"I've been waiting child, keeping me waiting for 8 years, such disrespect" grandma Lin says walking inside, Hannah follows wondering how she knew she would return, Hannah waits patiently as her grandma sets tea for the both of them.

"I never told you my magic power before" her grandma starts, Hannah looks confused having never felt Magic from her grandma before,

"It's future vision, I've kept it hidden from the family, but maybe I should have told them before they all died" that shocks Hannah because based on what she said.

"We are the last one" Hannah whispers staring at her tea, her grandma sighs.

"They left me to be the last one, seeing as I was a old women who could do nothing, but they didn't know is that one more is alive, a beautiful young women" her grandma says smiling at Hannah, hannah blushed a bit.

"Well training helps with that, teddy bear didn't hold back, but it's not like I wasn't expecting it" Hannah says sipping her tea. Grandma Lin stares at her thoughtfully.

"I knew you would have a trainer but I was unaware of who it is" her grandma says, it's the reason why she let her granddaughter go.

"Oh his real name is kumatetsu" the name makes her grandma gasp.

"Oh dear, child could it be you were in the beast world?" Her grandma says, but coming out more like a statement. Hannah looks at her grandma wanting a explanation, she feels as if something is about to shake her to the core.

"I know that name because, your mother knew him, the bear beast" Hannah gulps remembering the comments tatara would make.

"It seems you've figured it out, yes child, Kumatetsu..he's.."

Rain falls upon kumatetsu's house as he waits for his pupil to return, he stares at the book he found and a feeling of dread fills him as the math book stares at him.

'She's going to get attached to the human world, if she does' he shakes his head, knowing she wouldn't just leave. The wall beside him is broken by a punch making him jump and grab his sword, however he lowers it and stares at hannah shocked, he goes to start yelling when he realizes her current look.
Her hair is his shade of fur and among the rain scarlet eyes glare at him angrily. He gulps ready to fight her, however he can feel himself hesitating.

"In a real fight you wouldn't hurt me" Hannah says having seen his hesitation, kumatetsu grips his leg trying to stop the shaking.

"After all..you wouldn't want to hurt your daughter" kumatetsu eyes widen at her words.

"Who told you?" Kumatetsu says not denying it, Hannah narrows her eyes at him, a feeling of hate rising.

"Where the hell were you, my mother she was" Hannah looks at her hands remembering the last moment she had with her father

"She was suffering, I remember her tears, her sobs as she wished for you to be with her at her last moment" Hannah says as tears fall, the rain hiding the tears. Her words hurt kumatetsu and guilt fills him.

"I knew your mother was sick, but I couldn't bring myself to see her, because I knew the reason she died-" Hannah stops him with a shout

"The reason she died was because you fell in love with her!" She charges at him about to punch him, but he only looks at her with the eyes of a proud and loving father,

"It's also what brought you into this world, and we don't regret it" her fist stops an inch away from his face as she stares at him confused and a touch of fear.

"I-i-i..stop" Hannah says her voice breaking as he continues to stare at her with those eyes.

"Stop looking at me like that, you only took me in because you felt sorry, you never felt an inch of love for me, you-you" Hannah let's out a little sob her emotions getting the best of her.

"I lied to you this whole time because I feared you held a little hate for me, I knew your grandma would tell you the cause of her death, I just couldn't deal with you looking at me with eyes of hatred" kumatetsu says stepping closer to her, Hannah gasp and steps away.

"I always wanted to meet you but deep inside, there was hatred, I just-" Hannah runs outside and jumps away can't dealing with anything anymore.

"Hannah wait" kumatetsu runs outside and watches her figure slowly disappear, his fears becoming reality,

"Don't go! Please! Hannah don't go!" Kumatetsu begs her his voice breaking from his emotions, his two friend watch him sadly, they don't realize he's crying until he drops to his knees and starts sobbing, remembering the two years he had with Hannah and her mother,

"I'm so sorry yuko" he whispers, even among the rain Hannah could hear him shouting at her begging her to stay, but she doesn't turn back, returning to the human world with a broken heart.

Hannah doesn't return to the library to see Danny, needing time on her own, but her mind always returns to him begging her to stay, something she never thought she would hear.

"You look like you are in the middle of a crisis" Hannah jumps as Danny's voice reaches her ears, she looks down from the tree she climbed, Danny is looking up at her with that smirk that says I know your secrets, Hannah blushes at his words.

They go to a coffee shop and they drink together as she tells her what happened between her and kumatetsu, she has to stare at him so he can read her lips, after a moment of thinking he gives his opinion on the matter,

"Why should knowing he's your dad change anything" hannah blushes a bit as she was thinking that as well,

"Judging from your face you thought the same thing, being with him for so long caused you too think of him as a father, your outburst only hid your true feelings betrayal, for him keeping such a secret from you" he says staring into her eyes, she gulps and looks away,

'It's true, I don't blame him for my mothers death, I just feel sad he never bothered to tell me, I would have understood whatever his feeling is, but it's like something surfaced inside me' Hannah touches her chest thinking about that feeling she got that clouded her mind,

"Thank you Danny, hearing someone else said it makes me feel better" Hannah says smiling, the two stand up and say their goodbyes, but Hannah smirks with a small blush on her face as she goes to him and gives him a kiss on the cheek,

"Thank you" Hannah turns away feeling more light more than ever, however hidden in the shadows are two girls watching her,

"Well well, this is the final Lin huh?" The older one says,

"So, how will we make her suffer?" The smaller one says drinking out of a juice box, the Older one smirks and licks her lips,

"I know just what to do" she laughs as a portal opens up showing the image of the elder son of lozen.
