Love At First Sight

"Did you guys hear? We got new transfer students."

"Have you seen the new transfer students?"

"I heard they're from Australia."

"I saw them, they're brothers."

     All this and more was all Seto could hear walking down the hallways Friday morning. Everyone seems to be talking about these new transfer students, even all of his friends were talking about it when he went to meet with them in the courtyard. "Why do I keep hearing about transfer students? I didn't even know we had a transfer program for other countries." Seto hears Jerome remark. "How the hell do you think Vikk, Rob, and I got here, Jerome?" Mitch laughs, them now beginning to bicker endlessly as they always do. Seto rolls his eyes at the two and turns to his best friend, Sub, for an answer.

     Sub quickly scribbles down a few words on his dry-erase board before holding it up. The green ink read: "Two new guys from Australia. Both tall with blond hair and blue eyes." Seto reads over it quickly before nodding,"Have any of you guys seen them?" he asks, looking over the rest of his friends. All of them shake their heads in response as the announcement tone rings over the old, crackling intercom. "Harvey Soriano and Vikram Barn to the guidance office please. Harvey Soriano and Vikram Barn to the guidance office." a woman's voice drones in a tired and bored tone. "The day hasn't even started yet." Seto whines, grabbing Vikk by the arm and dragging him out of the courtyard to the guidance office to accept their fates.

Whatever that may be.

    Seto and Vikk make their way to the office, swinging open the door only to be met by two of the hottest guys they have ever seen. Like ever. Both are tall and blond with matching sets of blue eyes; both dressed in leather jackets, t-shirts, jeans, and a similar hairstyle. "Boys, these are our transfer students. Their names are Brice and Lachlan, and they need tour guides for their first day. Hopefully they can manage to keep the two of you out of trouble." the office lady says. Vikk and Seto nod absently, not really listening as they stare up in awe at the two boys.

     The lady claps her hands once, drawing their attention back as easily as it had drifted,"Great! Now you all go along and start your tour." she says, gently pushing them back towards the door and into the hallway as the first period bell rings. The hallway crowds with people and the four boys have to stand to the side and wait for it to clear out. Vikk and Seto's friends pass them on the way to their lockers, not-so-subtly gawking at the new boys as they pass. Mitch fans himself with his hand, mouthing the word "hot" as he passes, earning a slap on the arm and a muttering of "move your thirsty ass along" from Jerome before they separate to go to their classes. 

     Once the hallway empties out, Vikk clears his throat and turns to look at the two taller boys, "Well, now that we're all alone again, we'll introduce ourselves. You heard the lady in the office call us by our full names, but we don't answer to those unless it's our parents. You can just call me Vikk." he says. "And you can call me Seto." Seto says with an easy smile. Brice smiles warmly, causing any of Seto's previous confidence to fly out the window. "It's nice to meet you both, that lady already told you our names. You can probably guess we're brothers just by looking at us too. So yeah." Brice says, trailing off rather awkwardly.

Oh god, that accent.

And that smile... Seto could just die right here in the hall, awkwardness be damned.

     With a light jerk on the arm from Vikk, Seto draws himself back to attention and the tour begins, the four boys walking all over the school all day with Vikk and Seto pointing out -mostly unimportant- things to make the tour last longer. "So what is the purpose of showing us where every bathroom in the school is?" Lachlan asks with a laugh. Vikk visibly blushes. Shit they're onto us. "Just to make sure you're...prepared in case of an emergency?" Seto offers, it coming out as more of a question than a response. Lachlan just nods thoughtfully, accepting the weak answer for what it is.

     They manage to waste enough time that their tour ends at the end of the school day. "Congratulations! You now know how to get around and we didn't have to attend class!" Seto says happily, smiling up at the new boys. "Thank you for the tour, we appreciate the help." Lachlan says, bowing jokingly. As he does this, the final bell rings, flooding the hall with students once again.

     "So..." Vikk mutters, unsure of what to say next. The silence is almost unbearable, as the four stare at one another. Seto coughs dryly, glancing around. He somehow dragged out the tour for hours, but found himself unable to bring up any sort of conversation starter.

     Thankfully, the heavens blessed the awkward gay boys, as Sub suddenly joined them. "Sleepover at my house tonight, bitches!" is written on his whiteboard. He lets them read it, then erases it before before running off to find Ethan to get a ride home with him. "Well, I guess we can meet the rest of the guys tonight." Lachlan says with an amused smile. Vikk nods awkwardly, before excusing himself and going to his locker, leaving Seto alone here.

With the two hot guys.

Fuck.

     "WellIthinkishouldgofollowhimsoIcancatchthebusokaybye!" Seto hurries out in one breath before following after him. Brice and Lachlan share a glance, but brush off the strange behavior as they too head off to their lockers.

~Later~

     "So, this is Seto's basement, we gather here a lot because hs house is one of the only ones with enough space for all of us to sleep." Mitch explains to Brice and Lachlan, leading them both down the stairs. Once at the bottom, all of them set their bags down and settle in for the long getting-to-know-each-other process that comes around when they get new students.

     After a few hours of games and talking, a few boys begin to fall asleep early, tired from school today. Seto looks around, making a mental note of Jason and Tyler's absence since they were here earlier. He shrugs it off and goes to sit down in the floor, sitting next to Brice without realizing it. Brice doesn't notice or seem to care as he carries on talking with Jerome animatedly.
