*present time*

My head hurt as the sun beat down on my head.

The image of barbie in between the two cars made me sick.

I wanted to cry and crawl in a hole.

I dragged my feet across the pavement to my house.

My house wasn't big but it was something. The paint was blue with spots here and there chiping off. The shutters swung off their hinges and the white door looked dirty and old.

A cars squealing tires made me freeze.

I was half way up the drive way when a males voice called to me.

"Hey honey!" I turned afraid of what i might see.

A large S.U.V was at a hault in front of the mail box. The truck was black with silver rims.

A muscular man hung out the passenger window.

He had blonde shaggy hair and green eyes. His skin was almost as pale as mine.

"I'm not your honey. Now please get away from my house." I waved him off and walked towards my house.

My hand rested on the door knob. A car door slammed shut. Great just what i needed. An egotistical jerk coming to greet me. I sighed heavily and turned on my heel.

"Don't be like that baby." He held his arms out wide. "I just want to be your friend." He complained with a smile.

"No thank you. I don't want a friend." I put my hand behind my back and tried opening the door. "Now I must go!" I hurried when i heard the door click open.

My feet turned me around and i pushed myself through the door. I slammed the door as the man lunged at me. I locked the dead bolt.

The man pounded on the weak door causing the windows to shake. "Open up bitch!" He yelled.

"Never!" Tears ran down my face.

"Your mother misses you!" He cooed no longer banging.

"Mama?" I whispered. But that was impossible. I shook my head. "No! I will not go back! You'll have to bring me back dead!" I cried in to silence.

I heard a sigh of agreement "that can be arranged little seer." He growled through the door.

Fear shook my body like an earthquake.

Just the thought of what was behind that door made me want to die.

"Just come back to us, Midnight. I know you miss your mom, your aunt, and most of all i know you miss him." The voice was like velvet.

I closed my eyes and sighed heavily. "I saw him die." Tears pooled over my eyes. "I can't go back knowing that at any moment he could just drop over dead! I can't pretend that I didn't-" a bang made me stop.

Footsteps echoed throughout the house.

"Midnight get out of there, now." There was urgency in his voice. "Please, open the door!" He tried, no longer holding in the fear that dripped from his words.

"How do i know this isn't a trick?" I leaned my head against the door debating if i should open the door or turn and run away.

"Because if you don't get out of there you'll die!" He screamed through the door.

A shiver ran up my spine, binding my vision. "No not now. I can't go now!" I whispered in disbelief.

With little effort I pushed myself forward. The first couple of steps were easy, but as I moved away from the door dizziness over came my body.

Before I could think the floor was coming at me. My body slumped on the cold tile floor. A loud noise prevented me from slipping into darkness.

"I can't admit defeat." I whispered into nothingness. "I have to be strong." I kept telling myself over and over.

But the more i fought the visions that were coming the more my head hurt. Someone was going to die, and soon.

With my eyes barley open, I crawled back towards the door. If I was going to be kidnapped I might as well put up a fight. I thought to myself.

My shaking hands found the gold door knob. I tried turning it but it was locked. I pulled myself to my feet and unlocked the door.

As soon as there was a click the door flung open causing me to fly back into the couch.

"Stupid girl." A tall figure walked Dow. The stairs and went to stand by the guy who was banging on my door.

"Very ignorant. Maybe we should kill her then tell the boss Joseph did it." The first one suggested.

Wait I know that name..."Joseph?" I asked unsure.

"You know him?" The second guy questioned

"Yea she does! Childhood friend. As kids up here would say they were 'bff's'. Makes me sick." The first guy spat.

I cringed at the term 'bff'. I hated Joseph he was so egotistical.

My eyes fluttered as a vision came crashing down on me.

"Night night princess." A velvet voice whispered. And with that I crashed into darkness.

Unknown pov

I could sense her distress. But did i go to help her? No. I just sat in my tree and watched them carry my unconscious baby out of the house and into the black beast.

I wasn't familiar with today's technology. And to be truthful i was really scared of everything new!

Just the other day a smaller more loader beast stopped in front of me. I nearly pissed my pants at the sight, and ran away screaming bloody murder.

I felt awful for leaving her defenseless. It hurt to know my baby was in danger all because of me and my ignorance.

My heart tore in two as i was her the two men throw her like a price of garbage into the trunk.

"I swear when i get my hands on them they'll wish they never laced a finger on her." I growled.

I kept from where i was perched when the beast drove away. My bare feet drew up dust from the ground. My black hair fell into my blue eyes.

With force i slammed my body against the tree causing it to fall with a enough noise to wake someone two miles away. I always had a habit of hurting myself when i was blinded by rage.

I shook off the pain that pulsed through my left shoulder all the way to my stomach. I ran towards the sound of the beast. Determine to get my baby back.
