Chapter 18 - will you marry me?

As I brushed my hair through one more time, I thought about what Grayson has planned. He says it's a surprise, and I'm so nervous for it!
What if he takes me somewhere secret and breaks up with me? Maybe not, why would he be excited if he was going to break up with me? Shit, maybe he would be excited to finally get rid of me...
Okay, I'm definitely thinking way too much about this, aren't I? I took a deep breath, as I restyled my hair into French plates again, and applied a thin coat of waterproof mascara.
" This will be so amazing " Ariel smirked, as she took some Snapchats of me for no reason at all.
I was wearing a black romper, which was quite comfy but also cute looking.
" Do you guys know what's going on? " I asked, raising a brow.
They pulled shocked faces, but I wasn't buying it.
" what? No! Grayson said it was a date, that's all " Olivia laughed.
" sure " I mumbled, before slipping on my black shoes and exiting the tent.
The tents we're using are pretty big, and you could probably fit around 5 people sleeping in one. But in mine and Grayson's there is just the two of us, and it's the same for all the couples.
I gave the girls a quick hug, and walked towards the boys who were sitting by the campfire. It was beginning to get dark, and I had a feeling that there was going to be a beautiful sunset soon.
Grayson turned around, and I took a few seconds to look at his outfit. He looked so handsome, and he was wearing very posh looking clothes.
" you look beautiful " Grayson smiled, kissing my cheek which made me blush.
He still manages to make me blush every single day, how?!?

The boys looked at me, smiling widely and motioning for me to go with Grayson. Obviously I took his hand, and we began walking to this secret place. I had no clue where this was, but Grayson seemed to know it quite well...
" Where we off too then? " I asked, beginning to get excited for this surprise.
" you'll see " He winked, squeezing my hand reassuringly.
I nodded, resting my head on his shoulder as we walked. Apart from that small conversation, it was silent. Not an awkward silence, but a comfortable and romantic silence. Simply just enjoying being in each others company, and taking in the beautiful surroundings.
As soon as he stopped walking, I looked up, to see the most beautifully set up picnic I have ever seen.
" oh my god! Did you do this? " I asked, pulling him towards the selection of delicious food.
He chuckled, opening the basket and sitting down on the blanket with me.
" Yep, with the help of my little elves " He smirked, taking a bite of a chocolate coloured strawberry.
Damn, this boy knows how much I love my chocolate covered strawberries.
" These are so good " I said, as I bit into one.
He laughed, showing me the other food he'd got.
There's no way he could've made all of this, I'm guessing the guys and girls helped out. Sneaky.

After the picnic, we began walking down a thin path which was trailed with candles and roses.
It was all so beautiful, and it really surprised me.
" Grayson, you didn't have to do all of this for me " I whispered, as he began to slow down.
" I did " he smiled, now stopping at the most gorgeous place I have ever seen.
Even more candles were lit in a circle around us, as well as more rose petals everywhere. We were under a canopy, and it was glowing so effortlessly in the night sky, with the most amazing view of the river and lake in the distance. How did he do all of this?

" Why? " I asked, feeling myself get emotional at how thoughtful he was being.
He took a deep breath, placing his hands on my waist and looking into my eyes so deeply.
" Anna " He began, smiling a little as he said my name.
" Ever since we were best friends when we were little, I've always felt something different when I was around you... something that Ive never felt for anyone else " Grayson said, meaning every single word.
" it took me a while to realise that what I was feeling for you was love, but once I realised, there was no going back, and there never will be " He smiled.
" We've been through a lot, and I've made some pretty stupid mistakes, but I want you to trust me when I say that I'd do anything for you, and that you are the love of my life "
" Anna, these two and a half hears with you have been the best few years of my life, and I know that I don't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else... but you "
I smiled at his words, not even thinking about what he was getting at.
" I'm honestly the luckiest man in the world to have such a beautiful, funny, caring and amazing girlfriend in their life, and you make me be a better person every single day... and I'm hoping I do the same for you " He said, chuckling a little at the last part.

" and that's why I'm asking you this today " He began, getting down on one knee with a smile.
I covered my mouth in shock, letting the tears fall from my eyes.
" will you, Anna Wells, marry me? "
My grin went from ear to ear, and I nodded my head happily. He stood up, placing a passionate kiss to my lips before sliding the ring on my finger, and when I say it's the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.... that's an understatement.

" I love you so much " Grayson whispered into my ear.
" I love you too " I said, wiping away the tears.
Grayson smiled, turning around with his arm still attached to my waist, and that's when I saw them.
All of our friends were there, recording and filming the moment on their phones and cameras. I'm glad they captured the moment, and I'm even more glad that they could share it with us.
