Chapter 18(ATWT)

I am only human as the thought courses through my mind I sit up in the bed, Damian's still asleep I watch his face, his sleeping face at that and thought maybe I will ask him to actually change me, I know I told him last night not for a while but maybe I am finally ready. To be honest I don't know if I should be scared, and run away from Damian. Yet as the thought crosses my mind I push it away, I am not scared nor will I ever be.

"What are you thinking?" Damian asked sleepily I quirked my eyebrow down at him, "What gives you the idea I am thinking?" I asked him cautiously, if he found out about my thought on if I was scared and would run away he would be devastated.

"You have that thinking face on" he stated out realization hit me so I made my face blank, "Are you hiding something from me?" he asked sitting up and getting out of the bed I sighed, "No" I said blankly he nodded his head walking out of the room.

Will I ever have enough courage to ask him myself, or am I going to have to put myself in danger? I can't even get it out of my head now, I groaned aloud, "Are you okay" Damian called out, "Yes" I said monotoned, "Okay" he said.

I got out of the bed grabbing a pair of yoga pants and a pinkish top then matching under wear and bra, "Are you done?" I asked knocking he opened the door and gave me a sleepy look and walked back to the bed, walking into the bathroom I stripped and changed throwing my hair into a pony tail. I put on some eyeliner and walked out grabbing my flats. As I was walking out the room with my bag slung over my shoulder I kissed Damian's head and walked out of the house.

"Bye Nate" I said walking past him in the kitchen, "Bye" he muttered I rolled my eyes and got into my car driving off to the school. Today was going to be a long day.

I parked and walked inside, "Brittany!" Alyssa shouted I turned and gave her a smile, "Alyssa!" I said in the same perky voice she wrapped her small arms around me, "How are you doing, chica?" she asked I smiled a little, "I'm fine, you remember I seen you yesterday?" I said she nodded, "Just thought I would ask you just have this unusual glow today, and it's not a happy one either" she said I frowned, "Well I have been thinking about a lot of stuff lately" I said, "Really like what?" she asked bouncing with the gossip she would get.

"Nothing much, don't want to worry that pretty little head of yours do we?" I said a frown slipped onto her face, "Now you sound like my mom" she said groaning, "Good" I said she glared at me and marched off, "Nice talking to you to?" I muttered.

Class as usual was a lecture so as I was trying to listen I had zoned out instead, thinking of how I was going to talk to Damian. Maybe I should talk to Destiny? Wait no never mind she might tell Nathan, and I don't want this getting out. I internally groaned why had I started thinking about this it would have been so much better if he did not bring up the whole I can turn you bullshit, but it would come up sooner or later, probably much later.

"Miss. Moon would you please repeat what I just said?" Mrs. Merak said, "Miss. Moon would you please repeat what I just said?" I said mimicking her people started laughing she glared at me, "Not that, what have I been talking about, the lecture?" she said I rolled my eyes, "Well you could have said that" I said, "So?" she said crossing her arms I shrugged my shoulders, "I have no clue what you said" I said smirking, yeah I know mean.

"You have better start paying attention" she snapped I just nodded not really caring. I stood up as the bell rang, "Brittany can I have a word with you?" she asked I looked at her and pondered should I stay or should I walk out of them room acting like I didn't hear her, I sighed and walked over to her, "Can this hurry, I want to eat" I said she raised an eyebrow at me and I in turn crossed me arms, "Very well, What has happened to you, you used to be so devoted to school, now you have slacked, not coming to school days on end, then talking rudely to me, are you okay?" she said I looked at her guilt flashed threw me but then was gone, "I am sorry-" she cut me off I glared at her, "Are you doing drugs?" she asked my eyes widened, "What! No, no way, why on earth would I do something that stupid, do you realize how many people die, thought so" I stuttered out she nodded, "Well that's all, have a good day Brittany" she said smiling at me I smiled back, "You too Mrs. Merak" I said and walked out of the room.

"Gosh I thought you left, and weren't coming to lunch then I would have to sit here all by myself and eat lunch" Alyssa rambled out I laughed at her craziness, "No I had an interesting chat with Mrs. Merak" I said laughing a little, "What?" Alyssa asked, "She asked if I was doing drugs!" I said she started laughing, "No way" she said in between laughter I shook my head, "Nope not at all" I said, "Nosy bitch" she said I started laughing all over again she just giggled and began eating her lunch again.

"Brittany?" I froze and turned, "What Nate?" I asked, "Can I sit here with you girls?" he asked I looked at Alyssa who was glaring at him, "No, go find a different seat" I said turning back around Alyssa let out a breath I smirked, "Don't like him much do you?" I asked she shook her head no I nodded and ate my food silently. The lunch bell rang signaling lunch was over, "I have to go, but I should come over" Alyssa said then shook her head, "Never mind forgot you weren't living with Claire anymore" she said walking off. I frowned and walked to my last class of the day.

"Have a good night everyone and see you tomorrow" Wacko said I don't call her her real name because she is so weird murmurs spread throughout the classroom as the bell rang I fled out of the school and to the car, "Brittany! Wait up!" Alyssa screamed I looked around if anyone was looking but I guess they were used to her antics, "I called my mom she said I could come over for an hour so she's not picking me up, but you have to drive me home later" she said I nodded and smiled I pulled her into a hug, "Yea!" I said squeezing her, "Just beware Damian is in a bad mood" I said she frowned, "You were this morning to" she said I shook my head, "No I wasn't" I protested, "I just had a lot on my mind" I said, "Sure" she said, "Whatever just get in"

~*~ Home ~*~

"Damian I am home" I called out no answer I frowned yet again today, "Hold on" I said walking upstairs into our room Damian was sitting on the chair next to the window, "I'm home" I said he looked at me, "I know" he said and looked back to the window, "Why are you being such a dick?" I growled out he shrugged, "Why were you being such a bitch this morning?" he asked looking back me, "I wasn't I told you I was fine" I said, "No you lied to me" he said, "What the hell did I lie about" I yelled he glared, "You were thinking about doing something that you would regret doing" he shouted back.

I thought of what I was thinking this morning, "See there it is again" he said, "You want to know what I was thinking?" I shouted, "I'll tell you, I was thinking about asking you to turn me, happy! Regret was because I thought about if I was scared and run away that's why I had regret" I screamed at him

"Brittany I think I am just going to go home" Alyssa said I turned, "Hold on I will take you" I said coming, "No you and Damian need to sort stuff out, Nate offered to take me home" she said I nodded I gave her a hug and watched her leave. I turned back around Damian was staring at the ground.

"You were thinking that?" he asked looking up I nodded feeling uncomfortable, "Oh" he said, "Oh that's all you have to say!" I said defensively, "No, I will do it" he said I looked at him funny, "Why do I sense a 'but'?" I asked, "But I won't till we are married" he said I looked at him flabbergasted, "Fine" I said he looked at me shocked, "Fine? No fight?" he asked standing up and walking to stand in front of me I nodded. he smiled and picked me up and kissed me.

"We have to go somewhere first" he whispered on my lips, "Okay" I said he took me out to the car and drove us to somewhere then the street became familiar, "Claire?" I asked turning to him, "Yeah I want to do something" he said getting out he walked up to the door with me trailing behind she opened the door smiling, "Yes?" she asked us, "Can I tell you how amazing your niece is and how much I love her and I would love to spend the rest of my life with her, never putting her second but always my first, never letting her go, keeping her safe, Claire may I ask your niece in hand to marry me?" he asked tears fell down her face, "You have my permission TeddyBear" she said giving him a huge hug, I on the other hand stood the stock still looking at him as if he was nuts.

"Brittany..." Damian brought me back he was kneeling on his knee, "...Moon will you marry me?"
