Summary
As we ‘The Five’ walked through the pub, we had eyes burning in our backs. The burning pain in my cheek was massive and growing. This won’t look very pretty in the morning (unless a purple cheek looks good on me, NOT). Bruises, leather and being feared is a thrilling and what my pack of ‘rogues’ live for. The most feared pack in the tri-state area. Though most of us look very scary, we are sweet as can be (if you know us). People think our whole pack is scary and violent. Though the years of making our pack grow, it has been very rough.
PROLOUGE
“Xandria, hurry your butt up NOW!” God, why is she so slow. We, I mean I have a big meeting to get to. I smell sarcasm in the air before her words hit my sensitive ears.
“ME you’re the one who is screaming throughout the house.” Astonished at her mouth I can’t help but let anger course through my Luna veins. Seething in anger my words seep through my lips before I’m able to stop them.
“Are you really going to smart mouth me?!” She scoffed making me more furious if even possible.
“No.. Oh dear Luna I’d never” About to snap, I sense my mouth about to form words. But, my emotion of fury drips from my body when out of nowhere my wolf brings to attention the word, ‘mate’.
I turn to see Parker, the newest member of our pack, walk in all cheeky like. “Why all the giddiness, buddy?” He looks shocked at me which is astonishing. Like I was crazy, ‘that hurts.’ my wolf murmurs.
“Just happy I finally get to talk to you.” Being struck by confusion I know my look is hilarious, or it is just me. He seems like he was telling the truth. So I just had to answer. “Ok?” He feigned a hurt look.
“Why so confused?” Isn’t it obvious why I’m so confused? He looks like he found his mate, it couldn’t be me right? Well, there were those sparks at the club last night.
“Why do you look like you found your-“He even he enough arrogance to cut me off before I finished my sentence. This will get really annoying.
“My mate? I did, yesterday.” What he should have brought her here!!
“Why didn’t you bring her with you?” It angered me that he wouldn’t he would bring her, unless she is in this pack.
“I didn’t have to. She’s already here, in this pack. She is in this house to bring that to attention.” WHAT!?! The only people in this house is me and Xandria
“Who is she; the Luna of this Pack should know if a member has a mate.” It seemed I was nervous and hurt at the same time, I wonder.
“You really want to know?” god this is getting annoying.
“Just tell me, Parker.” He was hesitant and stared at me with hurt and confused eyes. It hurt to see him like this.
“Fine, you’re my mate.” Astonish I kind of expected it though.
“No, I can’t be! I’ve learned to ignore those sparks.” It was the truth; I have learned to ignore it...
“Why?” he seemed puzzled which is adorable. NO THINKING LIKE THAT CELESTE!
“I’ve never wanted to be dependent on someone. Though unless I have to be.” He seemed to get the thought together mentally and was set.
“Oh... You aren’t going to reject me are you?” Astonished there were tears in his eyes! I can’t be cruel.
“No... Well.. No I may be feared but I’m not cruel.” He visually sighed in relief. I just shrugged on to him. He seemed shocked yet glad and giddy. I had no clue why I just…
“Really?” Mr. Stubborn-butt is so...
“Yes but, I want to get to know you. Were you desperate?” Confusion wavered off his body as he thought.
“Was I desperate for what?” He was genuinely confused on my theory.
“Were you desperate to find your mate. “And I thought it was obvious.
“Well...Uhm...” He was hiding something.
“Well, um what?” He was going to tell me but kept looking at the ground. I lifted his chin between my fingers to get him to look at me.
“Kind of.....” He is really getting on my nervous at this moment.
“What do you mean ‘kind of’? He got to look me in the eyes. The truth swirling in them. He was telling. “I mean I looking for my mate but not obsessing over it.” I figured that. Stupid captain obvious.
“Oh...” Why the heck would that be my reply?!?
“Why do you not want to be dependent on someone?” Isn’t the reason obvious? I am supposed to be dependent! Anger seeped through my happiness making me madder.
“It shows a weakness and I, THE LUNA OF THE SHINEWOF PACK IS NOT WEAK!” I didn’t mean to yell but dang it I’m mad! ME Luna!

“It’s ok I made you feel you were weak and didn’t deserve your position it is all on me.” ‘Perfect answer.’ My wolf answered.
“How do you know that?’ oh crap, were mates I forgot.

“Sorry, it is a lot to take in.” I have to agree on that. It is a lot to take.

Xan, I should have figured that “DO YOU HEAR ME, WE HAVE TO GO NOW! GET YOUR BUTT UP HERE, NOW! YOU’RE THE ONE WHO HURRIED ME UP NOW I HAVE TO WAIT, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN CELESTE!!!!” ‘Sorry Parker, I have to go.’’ He was really calm so I had to hurry and go! “Its fine Celeste you have to hurry, bye.”
Now of to the biggest council meeting in 30 years.
