Of Monsters & Voices

Aleks yawned as he sat up in bed immediately being bombarded with good mornings from his friends. He giggled sleepily and said "Morning. How are you guys today?" Steven, or Ze as he likes to be called was the first to answer "We were a little bored while you slept but we talked to each other so it was okay!" "Ah that's good! I'm glad you guys weren't bored to death since you guys can't sleep." "Yeah.." Jordan said sadly "Oh sorry! I won't talk about that anymore." "It's okay Aleks you didn't mean too." Jordan said quietly. Dan and Seamus sighed while Nick, or Sp00n finally made his presence known in order to change the subject "So Aleks....What are we doing today?" Aleks pouted and said "James is making me go out on the town today." "What?" Aleks head snapped to the new voice and noticed Eddie crawling up from under his bed. "Oh hey Eddie! James is making me go out to the mall of all places." Eddie pouted as he sat next to Aleks on the bed wrapping his wings around him in the process. "But whyyyyy?" Eddie whined. Aleks shrugged and Jordan spoke up again "Aleks do you have too?" Aleks frowned as he said "Yeah..If I don't he has to tell the doctor and my mom that I'm 'resisting treatment'."

Nick gave a frustrated noise and said "Eddie why won't you just show them we're real? Why do we need to make Aleks suffer like this?" Eddie instantly became angry as he stood from the bed and flicked his wrist at the door. Nick abruptly appeared and he glared at Eddie. "Nick you know d***n well why we can't. If they find out i'm a demon we'll never see Aleks again you know that!" Nick looked absolutely frustrated as he said "I-I know It's just- they think he's schizophrenic and he has to take medication he doesn't even need. I just don't like to see people suffer. I'm sorry." Eddie sighed his anger melting away at his words "I know and i'm sorry but I-I can't lose Aleks. I love him." Aleks smiled and finally cut into the conversation as he stood from his bed and walked over to the two and pulled the demon and ghost into a hug. "It's okay guys. I'll be fine as long as I have you guys. And I love you too, Eddie." They both smiled and Nick began to slowly disappear and Aleks took his now empty arm and wrapped it around Eddie as well. The demon smiled as he pulled him into a kiss but just as it started there was knock on the door, breaking them apart. Aleks pouted as he turned to the door and said a little annoyed "Yes?" causing the demon and the ghosts to laugh.

"Uh Aleks? It's me James. Are you ready to go?" Aleks gave a deep sigh and said sadly "Yeah...I guess." He didn't want to leave his sanctuary where he could stay with his friends and boyfriend all day and just ignore the outside world but he had to leave to please his Mother and the doctor. He turned to Eddie who was now standing at the end of his bed and with a flick of his wrist the guys appeared next to him and Aleks smiled sadly "I only ever see you guys when i'm about to leave.." "It takes a lot of energy y'know. If we could we would." Jordan said quietly as he messed with his bright red hat now in his hands instead of on his head.

Aleks walked forward and hugged his friends one by one saving Eddie for last. When he reached Eddie he grabbed his hands and pulled him into a short sweet kiss. They were once again parted by the knocking on the door and turned his head to yell "I'm coming James!" then turned back to Eddie and pulled the sad demon into a hug "I love you Eddie. And don't worry I'll be back. I'll make sure of that." Aleks smiled and Eddie smiled back at his words. "I love you too, Aleks." Then he slowly slipped from Eddie's grip and toward his bedroom door and said one last time "Bye guys.." as he finally left the room.

James noticed his sadness and asked "You okay?" Aleks just shook his head and said "Lets just get this over with." James looked worried but left it alone for the time being and they started toward the front door. Though the further Aleks got from his room the more depressed he felt and as the entered the mall he wanted nothing more than to just go home and curl up with Eddie and just talk about stuff with the guys. To pass the time he began to think about how he first meet Eddie and the rest of his friends.
