Seeing the doc

Cooler air filled my lungs once we were outside. There were makeshift tents everywhere and men, woman, and children working on making fires, cooking or building more tents. They had found a clearing in the forest, and it was just big enough to have space for these people. There wasn't much grass, just a lot of mud that covered the ground. Puddles covered the ground almost every other step. It must have rained while we were out. Finally we came up to what must have been "docs" tent and me and Adrian walked in first, the two men jabbing us with guns as a warning. The doc looked up from the wooden chair, he was sitting at a desk, papers scattered everywhere.

"Sorry to interrupt you sir but we found these people out in the forest and we aren't sure if they have been diseased too." Said the blonde haired man.

"That's fine Henrick." he said as he took off his cliché rounded glasses. He looked us up and down then said,"come stand here." He gestured to the space next to him.

The two men shoved us up next to him guns still in their hands. First doc looked at my arms turning them up and down. Then my eyes, he then did the same with Adrian. "Their not diseased boys, they are perfectly fine."

"Thankya' sir." Said Andy as they motioned for us to leave the tent. Doc nodded and went back to his work.

"Sorry about the rough start, we though you were diseased."

We nodded then I asked," can you explain some of this to us."

"Oh yes, of course. Let's go talk in a more private area." We entered a bigger tent, it was filled with a chairs that surrounded one big table.

"Sit please." Said Andy.

We sat, me and Adrian on one side, Henrick and Andy on the other. Henrick started. "It started a while ago, in Ireland, all these men,woman, and children, began to get those weird blue eyes and blue freckles. They would inject a syrum into you that change you inside and out. You don't really have your own thoughts anymore,somehow, something else controls them, they become mindless soldiers. After Ireland, they traveled everywhere, and everyone became diseased. A couple of days ago, as you know, they targeted cities of the U.S. Everywhere popular in the world is diseased. Soon they will spread to rural areas too. You might have saw doc was working on something in there. He's trying to reverse the syrum and come up with a treatment."

"Well how did all of you find each other?" Adrian asked.

Now Andy answered, "well, most of us worked in this office, we are the people who bug the foreign systems that ain't exactly our allies. We was' listenin' in on Germany when they started talkin' about how Irelan' attacked them and how weird they looked. Then they reported what they figured was goin' on, right before they had been tak'n over."

Henrick pitched in," so we told our neighbors and friends and those who would listen to come with us, we took our families and fled to the forest right before they attacked."

"I see, so what are you going to do?" I asked

"Well that's what we were hopin' you would help us with." Replied Andy.
