Oh those silly benches
all with just three legs.
The seats are made of needles
and the backs are made of pegs.
The color was all rainbow
that shined very bright.
The benches made silly sounds
that could be heard throughout the night.
I thought those benches were candy once
when I was very young.
My big sister dared me to lick it
so I touched it with my tongue.
Gross and yuckies all over
so I spit it in the bin.
but when she wasn't looking
I licked the bench again.
I would sit up-side-down on them
with my feet up in the air.
The other kids would laugh at me
but I didn't care.
Now I'm much older
and the benches are older too.
Next to it is a jungle-gym
that's bright, shiny & new.
I did like those silly benches
every time I would play.
And if you ask me about those silly benches
I'll tell you that they're still silly today.
