"Rowen! Wake up, you're going to be late to school!"

I, Rowen Smith, am a senior in school with long, dark, auburn hair and bright blue eyes , but currently I was about to be late to school.

"I'm up!" I yells down to my mother while scrambling out of my bed. "First things first," I think,"Clothes." Grabbing the first outfit I see, I rush to the bathroom to brush my teeth and apply my light make-up. While getting dressed, in what seems to be leggings and a t-shirt, I hear my phone singing to me,

"WHO RUNS THE WORLD? GIRLS!WHO RUNS THIS MOTHER-"

"Hello Mikey?"

"Hey sleeping beauty I'm outside and I'm not going to be late to school again because of your lazy ass now hurry the hell up and come outside."

"Okay, okay. I'm on my way out right now; sounds like somebody has their panties in a twist."

"Just hurry up Ro." *click*

And with that I was off, sailing down the stairs so fast I barely has anytime to acknowledge my mother, who was standing in the kitchen before bolting out the door. When I finally stepped outside I was greeted with a black 2017 Ford Mustang and an annoyed expression on my best friend Mikey Winchester's face. Mikey is tall, athletically built (due to football and basketball) and has dark brown hair, but his best features were on his face. He has piercing emerald green eyes that could make any girl swoon, weak in the knees with just a look and maybe a smirk.

"Finally Ro, I nearly left you. I don't even get why you need me to give you a ride when you can drive and you live less than 20 minutes away from school."

"Awe is Lil Mikey Wikey getting upset?" I said while reaching over the center console and pinching Mikey's cheek. This action caused Mikey to look at me and say,

" You're lucky you are my best friend otherwise that hand would be gone."

"I know." And with that note Mikey sped off into the distance trying not to be late to school.

15 minutes later we arrive safely to school with time to spare before their first period started.

"Mikey! Mikey! Mikey! Mi-"

"WHAT ROWEN!"

"What are you doing after school? I mean you only have what, 3 classes today?"

"I don't think anything and yes I have 3 classes today how would you know that you stalker?" Mikey responds with a smirk. The smirk that would cause any normal girl to agree to anything, to do anything just to see it again, but I'm no normal girl and I'm almost completely immune to the devilish smirk Mikey has.

"Umm... Because I've been your best friend since what, second grade?" My remark earns itself a goofy looking Mikey and a just as silly looking version of me looking up at him.

"Ro, how could I ever forget the annoying little girl who wouldn't leave the hell alone? See you were even a stalker then!" laughed Mikey. All I could do was go pink and hit Mikey's muscular arm. Just then the school bell rang, interrupting the joyous moment between the us.

"See you later Ro." Mikey says as he heads to his first class.

"Laters Mikey." I yell back, to the now turned away Mikey.

At the end of the school day Mikey and I decide that since we still had most of the day ahead of us that we would head to the local shopping square. The shopping square was where most teenagers hung out and it was filled with restaurants, clothing stores, cute little boutiques and much more.

" Where do we start Mikey?!" I childishly ask, while jumping up and down while tugging a laughing Mikey's arm.. While trying to control me, Mikey agrees to starting at my favorite clothing store, Pacific Sunwear. After hours of shopping, laughing, jokes, and ice cream, Mikey and I decide to finally leave. On the way out however, I spot a weird door that I swears wasn't there before.

"Mikey, I'm telling you right now that this door has never been here before." I exclaim.

"You're just having a sugar crash from the ice cream. C'mon, it's getting late we need to go."

Just then, the door knob seems to glow like a firefly in the night sky.

"See I told you something was off!"

"Ro, don't do it."

"Oh whatever are you talking about?" I reply while walking towards the door. When I get to the door, it seems to be inviting me in. I feel this calmness from the door when I place my hand upon the door knob.

"Rowen Smith, stop it!"
