No one moved. Hell no one even breathed as the sun hid behind the clawed and the wind riffled are hair as if egging us on.

"WILLIAM stand down" author demanded. Glaring at the taller man. He sure didn't need height to be intimidating

'William' reluctantly sheathed his sawed but he didn't step away. His hulking figure still loomed over me, blocking out the sun that reappeared after a moment.

I too moved my sawed away from his throat; but did not sheath it.

Author stepped next to William giving him a look that clearly said 'MOVE'.

For a moment I thought eh wasn't going to. but then he stepped away. Author took his place crouching at my side.

My grip on my katana tightened. I didn't like strangers this close, even if he is hot... And the future king.

"Look we need not fight, we can do this peacefully, I mean no harm. Now let me help you up. Sakura." He stated offering his hand for me to take. My name sounded foreign on his lips but it didn't stop shivers running down my spine, Witch confused me. I didn't have him pegged as the peaceful type.

After a moments hesitation I slid my pale hand into his larger tanned one, letting him pull me up. As he did, pain stabbed thru my abdomen.

Before id even considered what I was doing I had dropped my katana and clamped my now free hand over the cut, my legs gave way sending me crashing into the princes chest

As if expecting it, authors arm rapped round my shoulders steadying me.

As I leaned into him, his free hand moved mine away, with surprising care, so he could see what was wrong.

At this, a worm feeling seeped thru me making me feel safe and sleepy.

"You're injured". He said voice full of care and concern.

"No shit Sherlock!" I spat back. Just because I felt safe didn't mean I had to like it.

"We need to get you to a healer, lance you...."

"I aint going anywhere with you" I broke away from his strong arms. Stumbling as I moved away

"You're injured"

"IT'S FINE"

"You could die"

"Well that MY problem then."

He started towards me again, opening his mouth to reply, but when I pulled out a knife on him. he seemed to think better of it and shut his trap.

"Just leave me alone ok, I just..."

William took that precise moment to lunge at me. My instincts taking over now. I span the dagger round in my hand and clocked him with the handle of the small blade. It made a satisfying crack as I hit my target.

In the next few seconds blared, lance and the other guy run over to William, who was clutching at his face. Author, looking shell shocked but made his own grab at me.

I had taken my chances and scarpered into the cover of the trees.

Not looking back I ran blindly into the forest, it was a miracle that I haven't fallen or ran into something.

My vision now consisted of green and brown shadows and black spots.

Stumble.

Trip.

Grab.

Run.

Smack!

I ran into something HARD, sending me sprawling. But this didn't stop me for long, after a few seconds I was up and running again arm still clamped over the stab wound on my stomach. Every fibber in my being was screaming at me to stop, but I didn't dear.
