Fire Flower (Zuko love story)

(Kathrine POV)

I was 5 when I fist saw the Fire Nation.

I was sitting at the edge of the clearing watching the Water Tribe children playing.

Sokka would never let me near Katara. Even though she was the only friend I had here!

I was a Fire Bender. In the Water Tribe.

I was the outsider. The freak.

I heard the ice crack as the ships came. Everyone ran inside screaming.

I on the other hand I just sat there. Waiting. The Fire Lord was there but I wasn't scared or even fazed.

"Hello" he said calmly.

"Hello" I replied politely

He smiled "Do you know about a little girl that's a Fire Bender?" he asked

"Yes," I said "It's me."

He was shocked.

"Why do you think I'm so calm?" I laughed.

He chuckled.

"Well, would you come with us? You would be raised with my son and daughter." he said smiling.

"Ok!" I said. Then frowned thinking of Katara "I suppose I don't have friends anyway. Not that I can talk to anyway." I muttered

"Well, I'm sure you'll get along well with my children."

I smiled at the thought of having friends. I nodded.

"Let's go then." he said leading me away from the people who never liked me. The family who never loved me.
