It could have been better, you know? You and I could have had a normal relationship.
But then he came along.
He was the cliche of a "dream boy". Every girl is practicaly taking their clothes off right in front of him type of guy. The guy that stole you from me. You barely even knew him, and yet you trampled at his feet.
He was in every way perfect, to everybody's standards. I was the only person to see him under that perfect face.
He was a jerk, he didn't care about your feelings the way I did, and yet you fell for him.
He was my Achilles heel.
Seventh grade. Lunch.
I walked over to the trash can to dump my tray. As I walked back, I looked for you, and noticed you laughing with him. Talking, enjoying his presence. It was obvious.
You do not realize what effect you have on me. You do not realize that you are at the top of the list of how I will feel each day. If you are sad, I am sad for you. If you are angry, I will be punished for killing the person who made you angry. If you are happy, I am happy.
But not when you are with him.
I noticed that where ever you saw him, you would always stop to talk to him. He wouldn't notice you until you made him notice.
Didn't you see that?
You started to talk to me less and less each day. I still was trapped by the way you'd smile, laugh, live.
I was too naive to realize that he was your everything, and I was only an acquaintance.
