No POV
Destiny sat in her room, tears forming in her eyes looking at her baby book. She looked at the pictures of her and her mom and realized she will lose her sooner rather than later. Destiny wiped the tears off her face not even realizing she was crying. Destiny smiled at the picture of her and her mom when she was 5 years old, after Destiny's ballet recital. She remembers that day as one of the best moments of her life.
*Flashback*
"You did so well princess" Rhonda said, hugging Destiny. This was Destiny's first time dancing in front of a lot of people, so she was nervous. "No I didn't, I missed a step and the girls said I move like a baby deer." Destiny told her mom, tears slipping from her eyes. She wanted to perfect like her mom. "Oh baby, you did amazing. Your form was excellent. Ms.Waters choose because of how amazing you are." She said, pulling Destiny into a hug kissing the top of her head. "How about we go home and make the biggest ice cream sundaes ever?" Rhonda said staring at her daughter's eyes, she knew in her daughter's eyes she was wonder woman and she wanted to make sure she always looked like that in her eyes. "Can we watch Aladdin too?" Destiny asked, flashing her mom a smile. "Of course, anything for my princess." She said, "How about we go change into our ballerina outfits and take a picture together?" Once the words left her mouth, a big smile was on Destiny's face, if it was any bigger her face would hurt. "Yes! Can we wear our pink ballerina outfit?" Destiny asked, she was excited to take a picture as a ballerina with her mom. Her mom was the only reason she wanted to take dancing classes. Whatever Destiny saw her mom do, she wanted to do as well. "Sure, we can ask daddy to take the picture." Rhonda said, she loved seeing her baby smile. When she found out she was pregnant she was scared she might screw up but, once her baby girl opened those hazel-amber eyes she knew that she would do anything to make her baby girl proud of her. Later that day, Destiny and her mom posed together in their ballerina outfits. Destiny would treasure that day forever.
*End of Flashback*
Destiny smiled and wiped her eyes, her mom was still her wonder woman in her eyes. She didn't hate her or lose the love she has for her, she was her mom no matter what. Her mom was a fighter, she was getting over her drug addiction and will overcome cancer.
