A New Heaven (A Fairy Tail Fanfiction)

Prologue

Hammers smashed while pic-axes chopped on the dirty island.

People of all ages were working, in pain and fear. Cells lined the building on the inside, for many floors as far as the eye could see.

Seven kids and an old man sat in one of the giant cells that held multiple prisoners. The old man started to tell stories of a place called a guild on the outside world, away from the place they were being held captive.

The kids were all in a circle, well with the exception of one of the girls hiding in the corner. The child was still listening to the stories the man told though.

The stories opened her imagination to many things about the outside world, the world she hoped she would see one day.

The kids were all different, one being a scarlet haired girl while another was a boy who had blue hair and a red marking around his right eye. Another girl had light brown hair with a cat-like nose, eyes, and mouth. One of the boys was very tan and had bright blond hair. Another one of the boys was tall with dark brown hair and lightly tanned skin. As well as another boy with pale skin and black hair, and a big attitude.

Lastly, the girl that was in the corner. She had big purple eyes, her pale complexion was being set off by her black hair that was long and unkept.

The kids were all dressed in torn clothing. The girls having pale blue dress's on and the boys having dark brown and green colored pants, with white tank tops.

The old man was named Rob and he was a member of an organization out in the world away from the tower. The marking on his back, covering almost his entire back area.

The girl with black hair was called Aura, because of her presence changing everyone's aura. She had an older sister named Milliana, who had the cat-like features.

The stories inspired the children to leave the place. The children dug a tunnel in the wall and were ready to escape. The girls and the youngest boy went first, with Aura being in the front and far ahead from the others.

A scream shook the tunnel as Milliana was picked off by the guards. Next was the scarlet haired girl named, Erza Sacrlett. Lastly, the youngest boy almost caught up to Aura, with his hand reached out to her he shoved her so she was not caught and he, Shô was caught.

Aura was hidden in the shadows, in a ditch, and was not seen by the guards. She heard talking and Erza was blamed for leading the tunnel escape and was dragged away.

The tunnel's ground beneath Aura collapsed and she found an abandoned underwater cave.

Screaming sounded throughout the cave from above. It was Erza's scream, pain could be heard from every corner. Aura hid in the cave till many noises reached her ears, some of explosions and others of the shaking roof.

The boy with the mark around his eye was coming out of a hole that was just blasted in the wall. Aura hid in the corner, hoping to not be seen. The boy was called Jellal and he had Erza in a grip using magic to hold her. She had an eyepatch on and a wooden sword in hand.

Eyes wide with shock were on both Erza and Aura's faces. Jellal then threatened Erza and sent her flying into the opposite wall, then left without thought.

Aura ran over to her scarlet haired friend, who was unconscious, and dragged her over to the water. Erza started to become conscious and Aura told her to hold her breath. She followed the command and Aura swam with Erza in her arms to the surface, outside of the cave. Erza then became unconscious once again.

Escape boats were on fire as people fled from the fire. Aura's friends were all running away, Milliana, Shô, Simon the boy with tan skin and brown hair, and Wally the boy with a large attitude. Her only family had left her, but Erza was still with her though, so she did her best and grabbed some driftwood told hold Erza up.

Aura had laid on the same driftwood and the current took them away from the island. She and Erza were floating away, the place they hated and had lived at was now lost, along with the only family they had.

The girls reached the shore and while Erza was still unconscious, Aura took the wood and threw it in the sea.

The pain was still there and Aura couldn't take it, she broke inside. Erza was hurt because of her and she lost her only sister and friends to an island.

She hid behind a rock and did what she did best, she stayed quiet. Tears streamed down her face, her crying no louder than a mouse.

Erza had finally come-to and screamed towards the sky, frustrated that she had lost. She ran away to the mainland while Aura hid, watching. Aura followed Erza and was still as quiet as ever.

Aura followed for so long it was now a few months later and the sun was going down soon. Erza ran into a town and Aura continued on, loosing sight of her only family.
