UNEDITED

Lily was shivering from the cold. The silence among the three people was awkward. And that was an euphemism. Looking throughout the widow she could not distinguish anything in this sea of darkness. A sigh escaped through her dry lips. She was tired and hungry and above all empty. Since her mother's death she couldn't feel anything. No pain. No grief. She knew very well what was going on. She was becoming numb. Lily never thought of herself as weak and neither as strong. This was her mechanism to escape. To not feel. Because the truth was that she, the most dangerous living creature on earth, was a coward. Instead of facing her emotions she prefered to shut them off. That's why she thought that the humankind was the weaker race. You could be a witch, a werewolf or even a vampire you still have your human side. And that's what make them weak. Everyone has a weakness, in french "un talon d'Achille". For Lily, her weakness was was her heart. She was kindhearted. She recalled her mother's word often "in a cruel world, the only way of winning is to be heartless."
In the back seat, she could hear her aunt's light snore. It was only the three of them. Alpha Thedor was driving, his posture stiff and unreadable while Lily was the back seat just behind her aunt. She knew werewolf from books that she'd read when she was younger. She understood something that was not written in any book  several minutes ago. The werewolf were half human and half wolf although they can shift into wolves whenever they want to. However, many people missed the fact that they were part wolves and so part animals. Now, it is very simple. An animal isn't fake. It either trusts you or sees you as the threat. Lily knew that she was very troubling for the Alpha of alphas. His wolf was confused whether to see her as a threat or as someone worthy of trust mainly because of the intensity of the powers that was radiating from her body.
Werewolves were peaceful creatures but also very dominant. They were attached to nature in a way that only witches could understand. Lily concluded that, right now they were powerful. More powerful than vampires and witches which triggered of course the vampire community, their enemy.
The young phoenix understood the reasons of dislike between vampire and werewolf. Hot blood and cold blood were never meant to be a match. They've been at war for several decades now and it needed to stop. The war was not including only vampires and werewolves but also human, hunters specifically. Lily knew that the supernatural kind was stronger and could survive this type of war however the human kind being the weaker race would not make it. Their destruction would be too great and the order unstable. They was one piece missing though. When did the hatred start?

"Are you not tired?" asked Alpha Thedor, his posture never changing.

"Are you?"

He chuckled but didn't not answer. He didn't seem to be a talkative person.

"Your wolf doesn't trust me, that's why he is in alert and reckless. You might and probably are exhausted after nine hours of driving but he won't let you sleep until he knows that I am not a threat." her voice was quiet and gentle not wanting to disturb her aunt or the wolf.

"You are good at observing. What do you suggest then?"

"He needs to feel my touch."

"I'm an Alpha, I know danger before anyone else. My wolf doesn't need to touch to feel danger."

"May I know your wolf's name?"

The alpha didn't answer for a few minutes. He must be connecting with his wolf to know if he can tell me he's name.

"Azarus."

"Azarus doesn't know me. He feels my power but can not relate to any kind he knows. I'm not a witch, a vampire or a human. His reaction is quite logical and smart. He won't do anything aggressive because he doesn't know if I'm a threat but he will not be at peace until he knows for good. Azarus must be very experienced to react with such maturity."

She knew the Alpha would not speak further. His ego was too great.
Lily soon fell into sleep. Her body was exhausted as well as her mind. She didn't trust Alpha Thedor but knew that he wouldn't act on impulsivity and cause her danger. Not now at least.

She woke up by the sun shinning on her face. Blinking a few times, she realised that she was still in the car, her head against the window which resulted with a sore neck. Her aunt was still asleep but snoring louder this time. Alpha Thedor glanced at her briefly before stopping the car at a service station.

"Good morning" she whispered not feeling like talking.

The Alpha only nodded at her before stepping outside. She soon followed without a word. He was tall, at least 6 feet 4 which made her look like a shrimp with her 5 feet 3. They walked in silence and entered the station service. Something didn't feel right as soon as they stepped in the supermarket area. They were only two people, a old women carrying a bag of snack and a cashier. High on alert, Lily went to the bathroom. She looked dead. Her curly hair her a mess and she looked pale. She washed her hands quickly before splashing cold water on her face.  Looking back to her reflection, she gasped taking a step back. She was covered in blood and didn't looked fazed. Her lips were moving but no sound came out.

Murder.

Looking away from the mirror, she glanced down and saw blood. All over her hands. Everywhere

"No" she said with a weak voice while washing her hands again and again. The blood was still there. She could feel it, see it. She continued to scrub even though she started feeling pain.

"Blood. Blood everywhere." she kept chanting.

"Stop."

His deep voice made her jump. Alpha Thedor was few feet away from her. Scrutinising her hands once again, she saw no blood, just her skin looking raw and red. And her heart beating too fast for her own good.

"Are you alright?"

She nodded.

Lie.

His eyes were cold, devoid of a any emotion and she was thankful for that. She didn't need nor want sympathy or pity. She could handle herself. She could handle her demons.

Lie.

Good morning/afternoon/evening ! Here is chapter two. Hope you enjoy. I just wanted to inform you that this story might not like the other ones that you might read about werewolves and all.
There will be really dark themes that has nothing to do with werewolf or supernatural beings. And when i mean dark i  mean darker than dark. Lily has a lot of demons and what you just read was like  a small introduction to them
Anyway, hope you enjoy, vote and comment.
