Monster Apocalypse - A Phineas and Ferb Fanfiction

Secret Tunnel

Phineas's P.O.V.

We continue walking, until we come to the entrance/exit room. There are multiple doors to the outside with varied sizes. All of the doors are either trapdoors on the floor, doors that you need to climb a ladder to get to, and one big metal door that opens like an electronic garage door.

I pick one of the ladder doors, but before I could grab the handle to the ladder Ferb runs in front of me to go first. I just stand there slightly confused.

He opens the door, and just as he does so a gust of wind blows. As it continues to play with Ferb's hair, I watch as he looks all around to scout for danger. When he motions with his hands that we should go, I scurry up the ladder and follow. "I need to lead, since only I know where the secret entrances are." I whisper as we continue walking carefully. I look at where we had left the place, and it looked like any ordinary hill you'd see in this area. Well, minus the fact that the grass seemed greyer, and so did all of Danville.

"Ferb..." I say, catching Ferb off guard. He looks at what I was seeing, and his face changed from its normal emotionlessness to that of shock and sorrow. Danville seemed so grey and grim. Nobody was roamng the streets, nothing was open. But everything was trashed. An empty wasteland almost...

I continue walking the way I was before, to the secret tunnel with caution. Ferb, trailing behind me by a few feet, was on complete alert. I find the secret entrance and stand next to it. All I need to do is to climb through here until I find where all of the tunnels connect and then use this gear to change the direction of the tunnels from there to the main entrance and exit. Simple, right?

I hear a loud snap behind me, causing me to freeze in shock. Without breathing, I turn my head back enough to see one of the monsters slowly stalking us. But not just any monster... This was Irving. Such a shame that he got caught... But I don't think he realized I saw him, so I turn my head back and open the secret entrance. "Ferb, come on..." I whisper through clenched teeth. When he gives me a confused look, I nod my head slightly in the direction that I spotted Irving. Ferb sees it and immediately looks back to me. I look at the entrance for a split second, then look back to Ferb as if saying go in.

He enters, and then I do. I then close it as tight as I could so that the Irving monster could not get to us in time. "I kinda feel bad for Irving..." I mumble to Ferb. He gives a sad nod in agreement as we continue through the tunnel.

I stop when I see the dark red line around the tunnel, marking that they all meet here. I look around to see multiple tunnels. I put on the gear and get to work.

~At The 'Base' (Narrator P.O.V.~

"Hey, where is Phineas?" Mom asks Isabella with a slight bit of worry. "Oh, don't worry. Him and Ferb just went to change a secret entrance. They are fine, I'm sure." Isabella said reassuringly. "When did they leave?" Mom asked. "They left this room around 2. Why?" Isabella asked. "Because it should not take 2 hours!!!" Mom said in a panic. "Maybe they got held up by something..." Isabella said, trying not to sound panicked. But Isabella had realized how long it had been before she last saw Phineas. Isabella gets up and runs to the door to find Phineas just as the door opens.

Phineas, standing in the doorway, gave a shy smile. When his mom saw this smile, she saw a scratch across his cheek. "Sorry we took long, we got a bit... carried away? I guess..." He said while he lifted his right arm to rub his left. "What do you mean by that? And... How did you get that scratch?" Isabella asked. "Well..." I

~Flashback~

I finished redirecting the tunnel, just before remembering that I needed something to build the entrance opening with. We walk out of the secret area, and I look around to see if Irving monster went away. I sigh with relief when I don't see Irving. I start sneaking towards the door, until I hear a growl from behind me. I though Irving left!! I thought in panic. I look back quickly to see him baring sharp teeth at us. NOT a good sign. "Ferb..." I whisper to catch his attention. "RUN!!" I yell as I grab his arm and yank him towards the door with me.

I look back at Irving, but soon realize that he is right on our tail. And way faster than us. I try to be as fast as I can, but with Ferb being a slower runner than me, it is difficult. "Ferb, you keep running. I'll find a way to hold him off..." I say as I slow down to get behind Ferb. Ferb keeps running as I had instructed, but he periodically looks back to check on me.

I turn around and look at Irving just as he jumped into the air to pounce on me. I do a quick dive-roll, but he managed to reach out to my face and I recieve yet another bleeding scratch on me. He then turns from me and starts chasing FERB. I run as fast as I can after him, faster and faster until I reach him. We run past a garbage can, so I pick up the lid and continue chasing. "Ferb, watch out!!" I yell as Irving starts swinging his claws close to Ferb. TOO close to Ferb. This act makes me extremely mad, how DARE he try to hurt by brother like that!? "RRRAAAAHH!!!" I yell in anger as I swing my entire body in a circle to the left and chuck the lid at him friz-be style. This sends him flying left, with a bit of blood trailing behind him. 

My once angry face quickly fades to one of concern. I look to my brother who is now safe from Irving's harm. He stares at Irving silently, and then brings his gaze to me. We stare at each other, until I shake some sense into myself. "W-we need to get back to the base..." I say hesitantly. Ferb continues to stare at me for a bit before we both start getting on our way.

I can't blame him if he is scared of me now, I mean seriously... I just knocked a monster out by ramming a trashcan lid up the back of his head and even made him bleed. And the worst part is that I did it to a... friend.

We reach the door, and open it by typing in the password. The password to the door was 17234, like all of the others.

Once we got in, I go to a shed inside of the room and take out a blowtorch, nuts and bolts, some scrap metal, and a few other tools I might need. Then, I walk back to the doors. I continue hoping that we won't come across any more monsters, because I'm holding a lot of stuff and there is no way I could run any faster than a jog.

I struggle a slight bit to get the stuff through the door, but Ferb helps me get it through and we continue to get to get to the secret entrance. Me and Ferb walk as fast as we can, side by side.

I give a slight yelp as a dart flies right past my head in between us, creating a small bit of wind. We turn and look to see no trace of who could have shot that dart. 

Me and Ferb look at each other at the same time. "Run." We say at the same time, and then we run as fast as though we were a video recording and it was sped up, as the meme music plays in the background. Jk. Pretend this is not here, I was just bored and watching them 'run.' memez XD Back to what they really did.

Ferb and I  turn around and start running, hoping whoever shot that dart would miss if they tried again. I ducked as I heard a small noise behind me, fearing it was whatever shot the dart. I'm glad I did, because as soon as I ducked I heard a dart whizz over me. I looked at Ferb in  panic, and he was looking back at me with huge eyes. I guess he saw that dart just barely miss me, and it scared him more than it scared me. We run until I type in the code lightning fast and jump into the secret tunnel. Once Ferb jumps through, I slam it shut to make sure it is locked tight. 

"Ohhhhh man, was that close..." I said while panting slightly and sitting on the ground. "Too close!" Ferb said. "You could have easily been shot, dude!" Ferb exclaimed. "You know something Ferb? You are talking way more than you always have. What's the cause? Just panic?" I ask him, noticing his frequent replies. With this, he stays silent. I roll my eyes with a small smile and start walking back to the end of the tunnel.

~End Of Flashback~

"Wait, so you almost got TURNED?? Phineas, you are sooo lucky that you ducked in time!!" Mom said in worry. I gave a nervous laugh. "I heard it being shot. It did not touch my skin to the slightest, so I'm fine." I said reassuringly. Mom sighs are wraps one of her arms around me and pulls me close. "If you EVER go out again, I'm going." Mom said. I look at her in shock. "No! You could get darted. You are a much bigger target as well, they could dart you easily!! I, on the other hand, can duck low enough and fast enough to dodge." I say.

"Okay, so what. I'm still going with you." Mom says sternly. "If I did go out then I'd be FINE, Mo--" "PHINEAS FLYNN, I AM YOUR MOTHER. YOU LISTEN TO ME. WHEN I SAY SOMETHING, YOU LISTEN. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!?" Mom yelled. While she was screaming, I put my head down and my shoulders up and close my eyes. "Y-yes, mom." I mumble. 

We all chat a while more, and then head to get dinner from the kitchen.
