Chapter 14

Its friday already. Its been three day since I left the clinic and moved into a house near the pond with Rain. I'm getting stronger by the day. By wednesday I didn't need the sling any more. I spend most of my time sitting under the old oak. I talk to Rain a lot. She's introduced me to her brothers Alex and Gawain. Also her dads second Shawn and the head enforcer James. Who's going to be training me when I'm fully healed.

I will often just sit an watch the children play in the play area. Listening to the sound of there laughter. I've caught a girl starring at me out the corner of my eye a few times. I'm guessing she about ten. Shoulder length dark brown hair with mint green eyes that dance when she laughs. She has a dusting for freckles across her nose framing her eyes on her impish face. She will be a heart breaker when she's grown up.

She is the brave one of the group. Every day she comes closer. The brave little pixie walks right up to me. As I sit here under the old oak. She smells like mint leaves.

“Hi my names Sophia whats your name.” She smiles at me like only a child can.

She reminds me of Molly when she was her age. All smiles and giggles. I look past Sophia. Rain has a arm wrapped around a woman's shoulders. The woman is looking from me to Sophia. Worry plane on her face. She must be her mother.

Rain told me her dad warned the pack about my issue. I can't blame the he for protecting his people. I would've done the same in his place. I smile up at Sophia.

“My name is William. Will for short.”

“Aren't you lonely sitting all by yourself?” A gasp escapes her mothers lips.

“Yes I am lonely but not because I'm sitting here alone.” She looks at me like I grew a second head.

“That's not really a answer.” She pouts at me. I can't help but to chuckle.

“No it's not I guess. You where at the meeting monday after school right? Did you understand what was being talked about?”

“Some of it but there was a lot of adult stuff that I didn't get.”

“What did you understand?”

“That some girl was really mean to you and now you don't let girls touch you. Not even your little sister or mommy. An that you must be very lonely. An that your mommy and little sister must be very sad that you don't hug them any more.”
