"Tyler.... It's time to wake up..... We have to go to school."

I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was Josh's bedhead. Is adorable red hair was everywhere, and it was the cutest thing.

I shook my head.

I motioned for him to hug me.

"Aww, Tyler baby....."

He came over to sit down next to me and proceeded to gather my small, fragile body into his arms.

"Now, tell me. Why don't you like going to school?"

"W-well I d-don't l-like people m-much......."

"Tyler, you can trust me. Do you trust me?"

"I-I don't even kn-know your full n-name..... I d-don't know w-who you are.... Y-you don't know w-who I am.... I-I'm a h-horrible
p-person... y-you d-d-dont w-want to kn-know me...."

"I do, Tyler. I want to know you."

"Now, may I see your self harm? All of it? I need to make sure that you're okay."

"N-no"

"I want to see."

I looked him in his deep, chocolatey eyes and saw curiosity, and deep, deep down, pure worry.

I took off my sweatshirt to reveal my arms.

I took off my shirt to reveal my ribs.

I took off my pants to reveal my legs.

He gasped. "Oh Tyler.... I never expected...... This....."

His eyes brimmed with tears.

He doesn't care. He's pretending. He just wants to hurt you. Nobody will ever love you.

He does. He does care. He loves me.

Is that what it is? Love?

He's going to laugh at your face any moment. He hates you.

"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!"

"Whoa... Tyler... Calm down. It's okay. Everything is okay. Let's get you some clothes, and I'll make breakfast and drive us to school."

Josh left the room. I put on my jeans and then rummaged through his closet. I chose a shirt with a UFO on it, and a skeleton hoodie. I liked it.

I ran down the stairs, suddenly overwhelmed by his graditude. I ran to him, he saw me and opened his arms. I was running so fast that he stumbled a bit with the contact. He giggled and it was the purest thing I had ever heard. This was love.

What if it wasn't?
