My Brother's Worst Enemy

Chapter Sixteen (Jacob's POV )

I just watched her flirt with this nobody and it made me feel some kind of way . Like is she really feeling this guy . Like he supposed to being serving us , not caking all on the clock . Don't he have tables to serve , one other then ours . I just sat back and ate while they laughed for another two minutes . Her smile was so innocent the whole conversation , and he just had that player look in his eyes . Wait , isn't she in a relationship . I'm not going to let her just sit here and spit game while she isn't on the market . " Uhm , don't you have things to cook or clean ? " I interupted . " Oh, yeah your right . " he said looking at the kitchen door . " Well, get to work Mister . " Jade said watching him walk away . " What was that about ? " she said putting grape jelly on her biscuit . " We are kind of on a breakfast date , he was disturbing our conversation . " I snapped grabbing my cup off the table . " Sorry 'boyfriend' , gesh . " she said sarcasticly biting into her meal . " I'm being serious , let's not forget about Tony . " I responded just as Darren came to put our check on the table . I gave him a death stare before he could start a conversation . " Seems a little more personal . " she said rolling her eyes and putting the rest of her breakfast down . " You done ? " I asked as she started cleaning the table . " Yes , I am done . " I left a $20 tip on the table for Darren and paid on the way out the door . Jade walked ahead of me to the car . She must be mad , but oh well she will live .

We got in the car and she rolled her window down and plugged her headphones in . I guess it's quiet time . I let her be , not wanting to add fuel to the fire . I wonder what pissed her off , I know it better not be the fact I cut her time short with that nigga . I started think about my little moment when I messed up they little chit - chat , was I really feeling some kind of way about Jade Cater ? Oh , no I can not feel no kind of way about her . No feelings attached . I wonder if she would feel the same way .... I need to get rid of these thought . I looked over at her and she had her back towards me , she basically was hanging out the window . Her hair was blowing in the wind all wild . I just drove quietly til we got back to the house . As we pulled in the driveway she unplugged her headphones and put them in her pocket . I pulled into my garage and parked the car back where it was before . She got out all quickly , that long sweater she had was flapping in the wind . She was really upset but whatever , i'm not good with others emotions because I honestly don't care how you feel .

She went in the house but I stayed back in the garage . I had stuff to do and I wanted to give her time alone with Alex . Even though I doubt they are going to take this time to talk .
