"Lily are you alright?"

But Lily didn't answer. Heck, she didn't even hear her aunt. She was lost in a place where thinking was forbidden. She wasn't in the car anymore. Lily was in front of the ocean. The fresh breeze crashing gently on her face. She could smell the salty odor of the water. She was at peace. In a world that nobody knew.

She flinch when she felt a hot hand on her knee. She was no longer in her dreams but back in the car. The hand was Alpha Thedor's hand. Looking up from her knee she sa the worried face of her aunt and the cold, usual face of the alpha of the alphas.

"I'm fine" she whispered with a weak smile, feeling relieve when his hand went away.

Lie. Liar.

"Then why didn't you answer?"

"I was lost in my mind. Overthinking I suppose."

"We are here. Welcome to the Crystal Fay Pack, my kingdom."

Wolves of all colors and shapes started running by the car. They were happy that their Alpha was back. She could hear some howls of joy and excitement. Amazement was an euphemism to what Lily felt at this moment. Sure, she read all the books possible about werewolfs but never saw one in its animal form.

The car went to a stop and before she realised, Lily and her aunt were standing behind Alpha Thedor.

"Familia mea. Sarcinas conligam. Quantum velit suscipit hospitum." his voice was deep and loud although he wasn't screaming. She didn't understand the whole speech but could comprehend some words. Lily was fluent in french, italian and spanish. She could speak some words of greek, arabic and german.

The wolves bowed down before the alpha made a sign for the two women to follow him. They entered a mansion that was more like  a castle. Lily was amazed by the architecture and beauty that hold the castle itself.

"Only a couple a pack members live here with me, mostly servants. Most of my pack have their own home. We reunite here for celebration or meetings. Miss Deluna will show you your room."

In a second, he disappeared. A old, charming lady welcomed us while bowing her head. She was beautiful. Her hair were entirely white adding to her charm and beauty. Her wrinkles screamed work and happiness. Lily had a good feeling about her.

"You don't have to bow down Miss Deluna. It's a pleasure meeting you" said the phoenix holding her hand for Miss Deluna to shake, which she did a bit hesitant.

"Are you the phoenix?" her voice was soft and caring, almost like the tone of a grandmother.

"I am. My name is Lily. Lily Stone. And this my aunt Rose."

"It's a great honor to meet both of you. Alpha wants me to show you your rooms."

"Alright, let's go then!" said Rose, excited to be in a castle. Sometimes, Lily wondered how old was her aunt. Most of the time she acted excited, jumping around like a small kids and others she would close off into her own world. Her aunt was different. Lily believe that she lived in an other world in her mind because this world, this reality was cruel.

Lily was exhausted but couldn't sleep in her sumptuous room. She didn't expected to be sleeping in the Queen suite. Especially because Alpha Thedor was so close. Only a few feet away from her room.

Letting the water run down her face and body, she sighed. She had so much to do. So many responsibilities. Lily wasn't arrogant but she knew she was smart. She graduated from high school at fourteen years old before enrolling in college for three years. She had a licence in law and sociology. She could have done more but she had to take the role of phoenix. Not that she regretted. Starting to wash her body, the water didn't feel as usual. It felt heavier. Looking up, she realised that it wasn't water anymore that was coming down but blood. Her whole body was covered in blood, the red substance gathering at her feet.
