Gregor locked his door and set the package precariously on his desk, sat on his bed, and pondered on who sent this package and if his mom had seen it. She was in the kitchen cooking eggs and bacon when Gregor took hold of the package and darted up to his room with it. It has been many months since his last visit to the Underland, and he was getting pretty anxious about if the rats and the humans have been keeping peace with each other.

Gregor was lightly thinking when there was a sudden knock on his bedroom door. "Gregor, are you in there?" said a familiar voice.

"I'm in here Dad" replied Gregor. Gregor stepped over his backpack. He unlocked his door and let his dad in. Then shortly afterword re-locked the door.

"Do you know who it came from?" asked his dad who was sizing up the package. "I don't really have a clue, but I have a feeling that it might be Vikus or Mareth." said Gregor hopefully.

"Why don't we open it to find out." suggested his dad. "Yah, just maybe." said Gregor, feeling a bit like Pandora and her pretty little box.

Gregor peeled away the wrappings and stared flabbergasted at what laid before him. It was Solovet's dagger. The magnificent dagger that he used to injure the Bane, before he killed it with sandwich's lavished sword.

"Gregor, do you know why they sent it?" asked his dad bleakly. "I have a strong feeling that they may need me in the Underland, probably another prophecy." Gregor replied nervously. He hoped that he wasn't needed to go on another tedious journey.

When Gregor's dad picked up the dagger, there was a note that Solovet's dagger was laying on. "Look, it's from Vikus." Gregor had muttered when he picked it up. He held it up for his dad to read, after he had read it himself.

Gregor, Regalia thanks you for saving the Underland and finding peace with both gnawers and humans. My granddaughter still wishes to see you again and same with you I presume. Both Mareth and Howard have taken off with some followers to map the Uncharted lands. We haven't heard from them for a while and we hope for their best in their journey.

Vikus

"So, they've already began mapping the Uncharted lands." said Gregor thinking about how Luxa has been since his mom had made everyone move to Virginia to escape the Underland, so they could live a normal life, which would probably never happen anyways.

"Gregor, I recommend not telling anyone about this, but I will have to talk with your mother." said Gregor's Dad sternly. "Dad, Boots and Lizzie already both know that the Underland has a connection with us. They found Temp inside the barn while I was cleaning it." Gregor interrupted.

"Not good, this is not good Gregor. What if your Mom finds out from Margaret or Lizzie?" his dad was frowning.

"She will probably find out soon enough." Gregor said as he started rewrapping the dagger and Vikus's note in the Underland fabric.

Gregor and his dad went downstairs one-by-one to eat breakfast and to discuss silently about the Underland. Mom could tell something was wrong because of the way Lizzie picks at her food. "What's wrong Liz?" asked Gregor's mom.

Oh no, she's going to find out. Thought Gregor.

"I just had trouble sleeping" replied Lizzie and smiled at Gregor letting him know she had it under control. When Gregor finished eating he excused himself and went up to his room. There Gregor came up with a plan to sneak into the Underland with Temp, when he came back tomorrow.

The next morning Gregor woke up early and headed downstairs to get ready for his long trip to the Underland. Gregor made a few PB & J's, got Solovet's dagger, and grabbed a few bottles of water, three flashlights and a ton of batteries. Which Gregor was planning to take to the Underland with him.

There was practically no light in the Underland, so he had to bring something that lights up. And put them into his backpack. Not to mention a few pictures of the farm where he was living, which Gregor was planning to give to Luxa when he sees her.

He was in such a rush that he nearly forgot to pack the waterproof coat his uncle had given him for when it down poured. There were plenty of times when Gregor found himself soaked to the bone.

Gregor hauled his backpack up on his shoulders, took a bite of an apple, and walked to the front door. Almost simultaneously, when Gregor opened the door his mother had reached the bottom of the stairs.
