Gregor could see that Luxa had been a wreck last week. He couldn't find anything else to say so he decided to go with what he came up with earlier. The words had barely left Gregor's lips, when Luxa ran up and hugged him.
Luxa's grip was so strong that Gregor could feel his breath being sucked out. They held for a few moments until Vikus called them to sit. Gregor took place in his seat, Mareth sat on Gregor's right and Vikus on his left. Howard was sitting next to Luxa.
After everyone had acquired a small pile of food on their plates, Vikus started up a conversation. "Howard, Mereth, have you found anything useful to put on our maps?" Howard responded "Vikus, Mareth and I have discovered another entrance to the Overland. Without Gregor's help, we would have not discovered it." After Howard had said that the room got deathly quiet.
"Gregor, is this true?" asked Luxa attentively. What could Gregor say, it was true. "Yes, it is. I'm pretty sure it is located near the Fount."
"We will have to chart this on the map, anything else?" Vikus asked. Mareth responded. "We have taken care of a good area west of the find." "Good, we should put this on the map as well." said Vikus.
Everyone went back to clearing off what was in front of them, besides Vikus who was comparing Howard's map, with the one he had. Gregor was in the middle of wolfing down his food, when Luxa asked him a question. "Gregor, we should see if the reconstruction of Regalia is doing well." Gregor swallowed and nodded his head to let her know that he was listening.
When Gregor finished eating his plate was spotless. He got up and followed Luxa out of the room and to the High Hall. Gregor followed Luxa through another series of winding halls until they arrived there. Aurora was already waiting for them when they showed up. Luxa took a running start and gracefully leaped onto Aurora's back, and then helped Gregor up onto Aurora's back as well, even though Gregor could get on perfectly fine.
After Gregor had found a way to sit comfortably, Aurora rocketed off the ground and out of the Palace. Gregor could see all of the people on the paths and walkways, and lots of bats and their bonds flying freely or hauling bits and pieces of broken stone out of the way for humans to pass.
Aurora dipped down and was gliding to a halt next to a big pile of rubble of stone that was being cut and polished for new buildings. Gregor hopped off and helped Luxa off of Aurora. "Thank you Gregor." said Luxa, smiling at him. Gregor couldn't help but smile back at her. Gregor picked up a piece of rock that probably weighed about half of him and sat it on a stone bench next to him to be fixed by a stone mason that was there.
Gregor could see that Luxa was having some trouble with the bigger rocks, and that Aurora had just about no trouble at all picking up rocks that were bigger than Gregor himself. Gregor picked up another rock that weighed about the same as Boots. He put it on the same bench and then picked up another and repeated this process until he and Luxa were both tuckered out from lifting rocks.
The stone mason thanked Gregor and Luxa for helping him with the rocks when they both hopped back on Aurora's back. "You're welcome." shouted Gregor, and they lifted off the ground. Gregor and Luxa went for another round, helping people with clearing paths, building houses, and even sending messages to other workers.
When they were through with helping people, Aurora flew back to the Palace where Vikus was waiting for them once again. "Luxa, don't you think it is time to show Gregor the "Prophecy of Stone"." Vikus asked Luxa. "What? There is another prophecy!" exclaimed Gregor irritably. He was through with fulfilling Prophecies. He was tired of the constant deaths the Prophecies foretold. Gregor had a feeling that he was going to stay longer than a week down in the Underland.
"What is this Prophecy about?" asked Gregor. Vikus responded "I do not know, but we will unravel it."
"Is it in anyway about me?" asked Gregor again. "We do not think it is about you directly. You were the Warrior, this calls for the Scavenger." said Vikus.
"Great." said Gregor. "So who is this Scavenger?" "I do not know, it says that the Scavenger will arrive in the month the Warrior was found in." replied Vikus. "So the Scavenger will arrive this month, right?" broke in Luxa. "Yes. So it says." said Vikus.
Gregor walked with Luxa and Vikus to the Prophecy room, where Bartholomew of Sandwich had written a bunch of prophecies. Almost half of them involved Gregor. After a few minutes they arrived at the only wooden door in Regalia. Vikus opened the door for Gregor and Luxa.
The torch was moved to the next Prophecy, on the left hand side of the stone room. Under it read the "Prophecy of Stone". Gregor could see that the prophecy was fairly long compared to the shorter ones he fulfilled. Here it read
"Down the Overlander, down he falls;
He is who will save us all
By the Scavenger is his name
He will surely form a game"
"He who whispers will arise;
He will make sure that someone dies,
That certain death is not brought up
If thee, who follows, will erupt"
"They will travel across, and cross
Until they wonder then they stop.
He will then embark again,
And will find yet another friend."
"When the game has been played,
You will know who must stay.
With his Flier and his pup;
He will strike a vicious cut"
"They will travel across, and cross
Until they wonder then they stop.
He will then embark again,
And will find yet another friend."
"Killers and Gnawers will come forth,
To annihilate the what that grows,
Or it will surely kill us all.
The Scavenger must make his call"
"They will travel across, and cross
Until they wonder then they stop.
He will then embark again,
And will find yet another friend."
"Find the stone, the stone of truth;
It has the power to make things move,
The Scavenger must then decide,
Just that whom is on his side"
"It foretells that the Scavenger must make a choice. If he chooses wrongly, we are in grave danger." said Vikus. Just who is this Scavenger? wondered Gregor.
Gregor started to pace around the room. He was looking at all of the Prophecies that were around him. "Are you feeling well?" asked Luxa. "I'm fine, just looking." replied Gregor. He was feeling pretty anxious, and was pacing before he knew it.
Gregor saw a shadow move behind the wooden door, and he walked closer to that shadow. Gregor decided that he was going to open the door to see who it was, when he heard a small giggly laugh. "We ride again Temp?" Gregor knew who was on other side of the door. It was his sister, Boots.
