When I looked at both my boys faces I realized how hideous they looked. They looked nothing like me but rather masculine versions of their mothers...especially Wyatt. Despite all that though I still loved them nonetheless. That love  would vanish very quickly if they didn't hurry up and get here. Impatiently, I drummed my fingers on my desk as I awaited their arrival. Now I'm not a patient man which means that if they didn't get here within the next four minutes or so I was gonna hand my company over to my two year old son instead of Wyatt and Liam. If they didn't know how to be on time then I don't think they would be responsible enough to run Spencer Publications.

"You're gonna be so proud of me old man the minute I tell you what I just did." came an annoying voice that I knew all too well. I looked up and saw Liam closing in my door. He better be careful with that after Katie left her claw marks indented in it. Liam seemed too focused on what he had to tell me to acknowledge his step mother's claw marks.

"Why so quiet?" Liam asked slowly as his eyes narrowed, feeling as though something was wrong. "Were you expecting to see someone blonde and tall  walk through this door instead of me?"

I knew that goat was referring to Brooke. Believe it or not, I hoped she did enter my office telling me that she changed her mind about not joining me in Abu Dhabi.

"Dad?" Liam asked because I didn't reply his nonsense question. "You okay?"

       "Yes," I lied.

"Uh...okay good," My heartless son said as he took a seat in front of me. "Anyways as I was saying, I decided to take your advice."

"Take my advice?" I asked. Liam never took my advice. He was stubborn and foolish and never listened to what anyone, including his own father, had to say.

"Your advice about letting Steffy go," Liam replied. Letting Steffy go was what Liam refused to do for the past three months. For me to hear him actually  say that he was gonna take my advice in letting her go was all news to me. I sat up in my black leather chair with interest as Liam continued, "I actually came from seeing her not too long ago." Go figure. "Told her flat out that I will no longer complain about not having her in my life and  that I will respect her marriage to Wyatt."

"Well it's about damn time!" I exclaimed.

"Yea it uh...it really is," Liam said as he took in a sigh. He better not be thinking about that girl secretly because I will kill him.

"Never thought I would say this to you again but I'm proud of you son," I said as I clasped Liam's shoulder. "You showed maturity- took you forever- but you showed it like a true Spencer."

A small smile appeared at the corner of Liam's mouth. "It wasn't easy old man."

"I'm sure it wasn't," I said. I couldn't imagine surrendering Brooke to that disgusting dress maker. "But you did it and I respect you now more than ever."

"Wait, so you didn't respect me all this time until now?" Liam asked confused. Always confused he was. He certainly didn't inherit my brain either.

"Respect  is earned Liam," I told him simply, "be glad that you earned mine."

"Uh thanks...I guess," He said, not sounding one bit enthused as he was before.

"You have that beautiful Cressida now," I told him, "within three weeks, if you guys last that long, Steffy will just be a mere memory."

"A beautiful memory," Liam mumbled and I quickly pretended that I didn't hear him say such a thing. He'll live.
