"Alex, I need to study."
The older girl groaned, rubbing her temples in frustration. "Will you quit being such a huge nerd for one night?"
Rolling my eyes, I shut my notebook, reclining on my bed. "Give me one convincing reason why I should go." Alex opened her mouth ready to speak, before I cut her off again, "And don't say Maggie."
She huffed, crossing her arms defiantly. "I was going to say, you should go since it's my sister's team."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Y/N, you're like, the gayest person ever. Don't pretend I can't see you checking out my sister every time she comes over."
Yanking a pillow over my head, I hid away the flaming blush on my cheeks, Alex's laugh resonating through the room.
"Get your gay ass up, we're leaving in 10."

Switching off the engine of her bike, Alex set the kickstand before gracefully dismounting the vehicle.
I, on the other hand, yanked the helmet off my head (which resulted in a mess of tangles), nearly tipped the bike over (while I still sat on it), and barely managed to land on my two feet.
Totally graceful.
"We're early, so we have some time to talk to Kara." Alex smirked at me, running a hand through her auburn locks. "Don't freak out, but I'm warning you now; her pants are pretty tight. Try not to stare too long."
My cheeks reddened quicker than they did earlier, the older woman nudging my side teasingly. We made our way through the gates and to the field, both teams coming into view.
The National City Supers in blue and red, against The Metropolitan Mets in silver and green.
They both were warming up already, stretching and jogging around the outfield before throwing.
"Alex, hey!"
That sweet, familiar, enthusiastic voice filled my ears, both Alex and myself looking around for its owner.
A bouncing blonde ponytail entered my field of vision, with a smile more blinding than the sun itself. Kara threw her arms around her sister, rocking their bodies side to side, smiles on both their faces.
It's been a little while since they've seen each other, Alex busy training at the academy and Kara with her schoolwork and sports.
After a few moments the two broke away, Kara turning towards me with a megawatt grin. Taking me into her toned arms, the blonde lifted me and spun in a quick circle, tightening her grip.
The smell of her fruity perfume flooded my nose, momentarily distracting me from Alex's smirk over her sister's shoulder.
"Hi, Y/N." The girl mumbled into my neck, warm breath tickling the skin.
"Hi, Kara."
She pulled away, but kept her arms around my waist, moving to stand behind me. With my back pressed against her chest, a maddening blush rose to my cheeks, Alex nearly busting out laughing.
"I'm really glad you guys came today! The Mets are such jerks, so we'll beat them for sure."
"They're such jerks, oh my gosh." Alex mocked her sister, a playful smile on her lips. Kara pouted, opening her mouth to reply, but another voice beat her to it.
"Be nice to your sister, Danvers. We're the ones with the bats, remember?"
The one and only Maggie Sawyer, with her killer, dimpled smile made her way to Alex, whose mouth opened and closed like a fish.
"Mind your mouth, Alex, you'll catch flies."
Kara laughed at my comment, resting her chin atop the crown of my head, grinning at her flushed sister.
Bringing the smaller girl into a hug, Alex allowed herself to be tugged away, embarrassed smile on her face.
"They're cute." I sighed, watching the two girls walk away wrapped up together. Finding romantic love for myself was definitely a long shot, considering the copious amounts of people crushing on the Kara Danvers. Captain of the Softball Team, President of numerous clubs and of course, Valedictorian of our graduating class.
Meanwhile, here I am, the most hopeless lesbian to ever exist.
The blonde hummed in agreement, as I felt her smile against my head. "Yeah, they are. But you're cuter."
My heart rate skyrocketed, my palms beginning to sweat. Proper grammatical sentences were impossible to form, my brain settling for a rather stupid response. "Uh...what?"
Kara laughed, spinning me around in her arms to meet my eyes. The brightness and honesty in her cerulean ones made me melt, the taller girl leaning down to rest our foreheads together.
"I said, you're cute, Y/N. Anyone with eyes can see that." My cheeks were practically on fire at this point, the blonde giggling adorably at my stunned expression. "C'mon, I saved you the best seat in the house."
