Chapter 23 - just sick?

1 week later

I stared at the gray walls, looking at nothing in particular. My eyes blurred in and out of focus, as I fiddled with the soft bed sheets. As soon as I felt my eyes close, I jolted up, running to the bathroom for what felt like the fiftieth time this morning.
" Are you sure you're alright? " Grayson asked, standing at the bathroom door with a worried look on his face.
" yeah, I'm fine! I promise " I muttered, not feeling fine at all.
" Then why are you throwing up? " Grayson asked again, raising a brow.
" I think it was the food we had last night " I lied.
" you've been like this for the past few days, A " Grayson sighed, rubbing my back soothingly.
" Grayson, I'm fine. I know I am! Now go hang out with our friends, I don't want to keep you at home all day " I said, smiling lightly.
" but I don't want to leave you when you're ill " He frowned, looking down at the ground.
" Grayson, I know you don't really want to be with me when I'm throwing up every time I eat, do you? " I laughed lightly, holding my head in my hand since it was boiling hot and spinning like crazy.
He chuckled, removing my hand and kissing my forehead.
" I'll call the girls and tell them to come over, maybe some fun with them will make you feel better " He smiled, pulling out his phone quickly.
I knew it wouldn't make me feel better, but I don't want to keep him home. The past few days he's cancelled plans so that he can keep me company and make sure I'm okay, which I'm really grateful for, but I feel bad.
" Go, have fun! I love you " I said, as he smiled.
" I love you too, I'll only be gone for the morning! message me if you need anything! " He nodded, and I could tell he didn't really want to leave.
I waved, as he left the bathroom and I stood up, making my way back towards the bed. As soon as I sat down, I closed my eyes, hoping for a little nap before the girls arrive. But as soon as my head hit the pillow, it was the same sick feeling all over again.

I woke up to the sound of a door opening, and breathed out a sigh of relief once I realised it would be the girls. I got about a thirty minute nap, that'll have to do. I sat up in the bed, leaning my back against the headboard and taking deep breaths. I don't want to throw up again, at least not now when the girls are on their way up to the room.
" Anna, where are you? " I heard Olivia ask, and I managed to reply.
" in Gray's room " I croaked, sinking further into the blanket for warmth.
Seconds later, the door opened slowly, and Kendall, Olivia, Ariel and Jayden stepped inside. I smiled when I saw Jay, he's too adorable not too. Maybe this would make me feel better! Well... mentally.
" I didn't know you were bringing Jay! " I smiled, receiving hugs from them all.
" we thought he'd be able to cheer you up a little " Ariel giggled, sitting down beside me on the bed.
Kendall held out a bag, and I hesitated before taking it out of her hand. As soon as I did, I peeked inside, seeing all sorts of treats and sweets that I love.
" We got you those, sometimes you need to get something on your stomach when you're ill, you know? " Kendall smiled.
" Thank you guys, but everytime I eat it all comes back up... " I muttered, feeling the sudden urge to vomit all over again.
I jumped up, rushing to the bathroom to do my business. I'm guessing the girls all followed, as they patted by back comfortingly.
I stood back up, making my way to the bedroom again, where I sat beside Jayden.
Everyone joined me, apart from Kendall. She was silent, with a confused and scared look on her face. I waited for her to speak, and it was seconds until she did.
" How long have you been sick? " She asked out of the blue, and I shrugged.
" like 3 days, I don't know " I sighed, and her head snapped towards me.
" I think we should go to the shop " She said, grabbing my attention.
" what for? Medicine? " I asked, and she shook her head.

" I think what you need is a pregnancy test, Anna "
