Vic.
I walked out and around the grounds for awhile before heading back to the tent for our signing.
There were already kids lined up for what seemed like miles.
"Hi guys." I said waving at all of them.
I trudged over to my seat between Tony and Jaime, and sat down.
"Where have you been?" Mike asked.
"Walking. Taking in the sights and sounds of Dallas." I said, signing a girl's shirt.
"I don't see why, you've been here before." Mike said.
"I happen to like Dallas." I said.
"It's a great city."
I looked up to see a blue eyed girl standing in front of me smiling.
"I'm not actually from Dallas, but I love it here." She said, flipping her red hair over her shoulder.
"Where are you from?" I asked, passing her on to Tony.
"A little town west of Lubbock. It's called Levelland. It's also called Bumfuck, Texas." She joked.
I laughed, "Sounds fascinating." I said.
The girl rolled her eyes and smiled, "It's lots of fun." She said.
I reached around Tony and Jaime and shook her hand, "I'm Vic." I said.
"I'm Elise." She said.
"Nice to meet you." I said.
She looked to the girl standing to her left, who had long purple streaked hair, and brown eyes, "And this is my sister, Courtney." She said.
"Hi." I said nodding.
"Hello." Courtney said.
"Vic." Tony said.
I turned and re-focused on signing, my eyes still on Elise.
"What are you doing later?" I asked.
"This?" Elise said motioning to the grounds, crowded with people.
"You wanna get coffee?" I asked.
Elise smiled and shook her head, "Can't, sorry. But I'll take a raincheck." She said walking away.
I finished the signing and went back to the bus.
"You can't mope. You didn't seriously think that girl was going to go out with you did you? Jeez, she must've been fifteen years old!" Mike said.
"Nineteen thank you, and I didn't say I wouldn't go out with him, I just said I couldn't at the time.
I turned around to see Elise, arms loaded down with merch, SD hat on top of her head.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Helping your merch guy load in." She said.
"How do you know our merch guy?" I asked.
She shrugged, "We met at the catering truck this morning." She said.
"It's a small world isn't it?" Dylan asked shrugging.
Elise smiled at him and shook her head.
"So do you work for us now, or what?" I asked.
Elise laughed, "I only gave your merch guy a hand, I expected nothing in return." She said taking the hat off and putting it on my head.
"Really? Cause I'll give you anything you want." I said.
Elise laughed, while everyone else gave me awkward stares.
