The alarm clock next to my bed began to ring letting me know it was time for school. I woke up tiredly and looked in the mirror to see my blonde hair was a tangled mess. I grabbed my brush and began to brush through it, leaving it smooth and back to it's natural wave. I turned to my closet and pulled out a white shirt that read "Free As A Bird" and some ripped black pants. As I pulled on my clothes I checked my phone and saw I had two new text messages.

Baylee: Do you have Mr. Lows homework?
Mom: left for work early, breakfast is in the fridge love you!

I ran hands through my hair and replied to Baylee.

To Baylee: No, you know I never do his homework...or any homework.

I sighed and pulled my hair in a pony tail and headed down stairs for breakfast. When I got down stairs I noticed my brother was in the living room. I told him I was going to get our breakfast and that he needed to come to the kitchen. I was 3 years older than my brother but he was smarter than me and taking classes from the college in town. He headed to the kitchen and I followed him. I put on a pot of coffee and went to the refrigerator and grabbed the breakfast for this morning: Biscuits. I put them in the microwave to heat them up and sat down. "Why do you have to wear those stupid ripped jeans Em?" My brother asked. I sighed and with pride replied "because Elliot, it's my form of self expression" and I smiled as the microwave beeped. I got up and took the biscuits out and went to the coffee maker and poured Elliot and me a cup. I put his breakfast on the table and with a sense of triumph sang "your breakfast my dear brother" he rolled his eyes and sang the hymn back "thank you my dear sister." We sat and ate our breakfast and when I was finished I told him I was going to go finish getting ready and that I'd be down in a few. I ran upstairs and put on some light makeup and grabbed my phone and bag. I went down stairs and grabbed the keys to my car and yelled to Elliot that if he didn't hurry I'd leave him. He hurried to the front door and
to my car. I smirked and went to the driver side. I got in and began to drive to school.

After I dropped Elliot off at his school I headed to the high school. I park in my usual spot and get my bag and open it. I see all my school stuff and the one thing I hoped was still there...my gun. I get out of my car and head inside. Today was going to be a good day.
