"Alright what the Hell did you do?" Were the first things Lucas heard as he walked into his apartment.

"Why is Riley calling me crying, what did you do?" He asked. Of course she called Farkle. Lucas was too sober to deal with this, he should've taken Andrew up on that drink.

"Can I at least get in the door before you start yelling at me." He chuckled

"Lucas it is not the time to joke."

"Farkle it's two in the morning, can't we just talk about this later."

"No, we are going to talk about this now." He said impatiently

"Alright fine, go ahead." Lucas said flopping down on the couch

"What did you do."

"She made me angry so I left." He shrugged

Farkle ran a hand through his hair tiredly. "Oh really because according to her, she tried talking to you about Maya and you fucking lost it."

Lucas internally cringed at the mention of her name. All of a sudden everyone started saying her name again, he couldn't take it.

"Lucas she left three years ago, it's time to get over it. She broke up with you for a reason."

Lucas stood up abruptly "You think I don't know that?" Farkle stepped back cautiously "I get it she left, but not everyone can be like you Farkle. I loved her and she left me, she left all of us."

"Lucas."

"Don't Farkle. You were the least effected by it, you don't understand." He pushed past him down the hall "Either go back to Riley or get the Hell out of my apartment." Lucas called back to him before slaming his bedroom door shut.

He lost it. He honestly didn't care if Farkle left or not, it wasn't his main concern at the moment. Lucas wasn't proud of it, but he cried, more like sobed. You could hear him all through the apartment, but it didn't matter, all he could do was cry. I mean why not, he made Riley cry and all she wanted to do was talk, so why not cry. He lay in the middle of his bedroom floor drenched in his own tears, and that's how she found him in the morning.

Riley sighed as she shut his door closed. There was no school so she was home. Farkle had left sometime during the earlier morning, so it was just him and her. Lucas walked out of his room groggily, avoiding eye contact. She simply poured him a cup of coffee and rested her elbows on the counter.

"Thank you." Lucas muttered. He sighed "Look Riley I'm sorry."

"Lucas it's okay."

"No it's not, I made you cry."

"We both know I'm not the only one who cried." She said looking at him. "I understand you don't like to talk about her, but you can't just freak out anytime her name gets mentioned." He continued to stare at the ground "Lucas look at me."

He looked at her slowly, he was already crying.

"Lucas." Riley said softly

"I'm a mess."

Riley wrapped an arm around him. "I'm a fucking mess." He said in between cries.

It hadn't been this bad since the first week she started talking again. It was the same year they moved in together. Riley remembered it vividly, it wasn't one of the best moments for him.
Riley also locked herself in her room that day, he tried making a move on her. He was overly drunk that night and he kissed her roughly and didn't like it one bit. Lucas hated that he ever did that to Riley, but it haunted the both of them. Riley stayed with Farkle the rest of that week. She almost never came home and Lucas knew it.

Maya thought to herself the night she came back. Was this really a good idea. She thought even more the next day when Farkle mentioned something about Lucas and herself. It wasn't until the day after that, that Riley came over to talk to them about Lucas. Apparently he was a mess. And it was her fault. Maya knew she caused this. Was it a good idea to come back. Was all she could think about.

"Hey." Farkle said from the doorway

Maya looked up at him "Hey."

"You feeling okay?"

"Honestly no." She paused "All of this is my fault."

"Maya-" He started

"No Farkle, I caused all of this and you know it. I'm the reason Riley stopped talking, I'm the reason Lucas is a nervous wreck, I did that. I left."

"And guess what, you came back." Farkle said stepping in front of her "You could've went on with your life and forgot about us, but you didn't. You came back."

Maya looked up at him nervously

"Stop beating yourself up about this. When the time comes we'll see what happens but for now you need to stop being so hard on yourself."

She breathed in deeply "I just can't stop thinking whether or not this is a good idea."

Farkle chuckled "It's too late for that you've already seen Riley." He smiled

"I know but, Lucas."

"Lucas is dealing with somethings right now and it has nothing to do with you. We just have to wait and see."

Maya smiled at him goofily "Thank you Farkle."

He rose an eyebrow "For what?"

"For being here, for understanding."

"It's nothing. We've still been friends for like ever." He laughed

"I know, but I really appreciate it."

"I'm glad I could help."
