"Anyone there?", cried Praveen. The house maintained the silence. The night was dark. Strange noises surrounded the kitchen. Windows were kept ajar for the wolves can leap inside and tear his flesh apart. Praveen was shivering in fear. Tied with thick jute ropes, he was a living worm crawling on the kitchen floor. In front of him was another human, counting her final breaths. Blood sprayed from her shoulder as her left arm was nowhere to be seen. Did the wolves do it?

She lay dead with blood all over the floor that appeared blackish in the dark. Barsha was facing upwards with her right arm resting on her belly. Her face was destroyed in a way to resemble the living dead. She was breathing so silently, one would easily conclude she was dead.

Praveen lay down there like a bundle of sticks shouting and crying and begging for help. But not a single word echoed that would answer his calling. After hundreds and thousands of prayers to the Gods, he found giving up to be the best choice. He felt drowsy and his eyes shuttered down.

Not so long after he dimmed his eyes, a strange creaking sound crept into his ears. His eyes sprang up and with reluctance, he shouted for help. The door opened an average figure stood in front. It was a man almost 30. He had curly hair, cut marks all over his face and a half-broken nose to the left. His black uniform made it clear for Praveen that he was a guard of the forest department. "Help me! I'm rotting here!" Praveen said. The guard didn't wait for another second. He switched his torch on and tried to recognize the figure. A tall and lean figure lay before him tied with thick ropes, dying to escape the cursed room.

"Praveen sir?", the guard was astonished to see his employer lie beside his wife, covered in blood. He continued, "What in hell happened to you, and madam!?"

"There's no time for talking. Please help me out of this place now!"

"But... mada..."

"She's dead."

"That's impossible!"

Praveen lost his temper, "Get me out you bastard! I said there's no time for talking!"

The guard did as Praveen commanded. He untied the ropes, helped his employer stand on his feet and helped him out of the wicked place. They were in haste when,

"Wouldn't you give me a hand Praveen?", a voice crept from behind.

Praveen turned around and Barsha stood there wearing a deadly smile and holding her left arm with her right hand.

His eyes froze, his hands shook terribly and a paler came over him.

"Ba.. Barsh.. Barsha?", he stuttered.

"Aaahh! Not Barsha my darling", she gave a wicked smile.

"Death!", she said.
