"Who do you like?" Alice questioned Ally. She shook her head nervously. "I'm not going to tell you," she was scared. Scared of how the answer would affect their friendship. She was one of her only friends. Alice was a girl- the perfect girl in Ally's eyes. But she also knew that it would be a stupid move to say that to her. She remembered this unexplainable click in her brain when she looked at her for the first time.

They were in last hour- gym- when they had this conversation. It was a Friday, so they got a free hour to what they wanted. They did the usual thing, which was hang out with their small friend circle, which was mostly girls, with at the most, two guys.

Alice had started talking about her crushes, describing them. It was one guy and a girl, the guy being a guy who went to another school that she'd met the previous year, and one of her best friends who Ally had a mini-crush on.

She felt jealous, but she knew that it wasn't her place. It seemed like no one was ever really waiting for her. She was never quite as lucky when it came to love, not as lucky as her friends, at least.

Eventually the hour was over and they sat in the dressing room, listening for their buses to be called. "Buses 4, 6, and 25. Buses 4, 6, and 25." The two girls stood up and walked out of the dressing room.

They got on the bus and sat in their usual spot in the back. They talked most of the ride about nothing of import.

About seven minutes before arrival of Ally's stop, talked about her crushes. She said one of them, (which was another person. Not Alice) and Alice asked, "is there anyone else?" Ally avoided the eye contact. "Maybe, but it wouldn't work out."

"Sometimes you've got to take risks. If you ask them out, whats what the worst thing that could happen? They say no?" Ally nods. "That'd be horrible." She replied. "Sure, it'd suck, but think about what else could happen. They could say yes." She smiled.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She turned her whole body to face Alice. "Do you- do you want to go out with me? I know you'll say no, but-" she was interrupted. "What exactly makes you think I'd so no?" Shocked, she looked around.

"Wait, wait?" Alice smiled. "Yes, I'll go out with you, Ally."

Over the course of the next few months, they grew closer than before. Soon, Alice was all the Ally could manage to think about. She truly thought she loved her. She knew she loved her. Though the fact that Alice was moving at the beginning of summer, damaging a few things.

It the beginning of their fifth month together. It was, yet again, a Friday.

Ally was laughing, joking around and Alice didn't look happy at all. "Whats wrong?" Ally asked. "Nothing," Alice responded, shaking her head.

"Would you prefer to tell me in private?" Alice nodded, "Actually, yeah." Ally stood up, as well as Alice." We'll be right back," Ally told the group of friends. They walked far away from the group- far enough, anyways.

"Whats wrong?" Ally asked. "I- I don't want you to hate me. I don't know how to say it, but I can't not tell you. You're going to hate me and I'll lose you for this."

"What are you talking about? You're scaring me, Alice." Ally was nervous, but she knew that no matter what, she could never hate her. "I don't want to scare you!" She looked around, then lowered her voice. "I dont want to lose you. I dont know how to say this, so I'll just come right out and say it, I guess."

They're sitting across from each other on the gym floor. "I- okay. You know the day that I went on that field trip?" Ally nodded. "Well, I say with this guy on the bus. His name is Sean. I've never really thought much of him, but whenever I sat with him, he was really funny and smart."
