Sleepy (A The Wanted One Shot)

SLEEPY

Jay McGuiness surveyed the room quietly, trying to to disturb the slumber that had descended upon it. The fire was slowly dying in the grate, it's flame crackling slightly as it burnt out. Lying on the rug in front of it was his bandmate Max, fast asleep with his arms wrapped tightly around his girlfriend Michelle, his face nestled in the crook of her neck.

Tom was asleep on an armchair, his head laid back and his mouth wide open, making Jay suppress a laugh at the sight. His girlfriend Kelsey was curled in a ball on his lap, one hand clinging to his t shirt, her hair falling over her face. Nathan was in the other armchair, his knees pulled up to his chest, with his arms around his legs, his empty glass still clutched tightly in his hand with his fringe in his eyes and his chest rising up and down rhythmically.

On the other side of the sofa he was on was Siva, his head on the arm and his hand hanging off the edge, clutching the hand of his long term girlfriend Nareesha who was sitting on the floor with her head on the edge of the sofa, fast asleep.

Completing his gaze around the room, he heard a small cough and looked down at his girlfriend Lily who was cuddled up to him and who was now looking up at him sleepily with her large blue eyes, her blonde hair tousled and messy. He smiled softly at her, leaning down to place a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Go back to sleep Lil, I'm here. It's late."

Nodding slowly, she laid her head back down on his chest, her arms fastening around his waist. Carefully, he mirrored her movements, resting his head on top of hers and letting the tiredness take over him, and he fell asleep as the last embers of the fire crackled away into nothing.
