"You said you wanted to spend rest of your life with me, do you remember?" My father said to my mother. I knew he was crying.
"Yes, but that was 26 years ago!" My mom yelled.
"26 years make a huge difference, eh?" My father asked.
"Yes, they do! In these years I've had have nothing! I'm just a plain woman with a rich husband and 2 cute daughters! I want more, and that only Robert can give me!" Mother said.
I don't like eavesdropping but I have to, I want to know if they're getting separated because I'll be always on my father's side.
"You can't just leave me like that! I love you, Kim!" My father said.
" Guess what? I can! I can! I cheated on you, yet you're not letting me go, what kinda husband are you?" Mom said
"It doesn't matter,Kim. Please don't go." Dad said
"No!" Mom said
"Please!" Dad said
I heard some noises and knew something was going on.
And then I heard a tight slap sound.
"I said let me go! I hate you! I just married you for money, can't you see? Turns out money isn't everything. So, I have to go! One thing, don't call me Kim. It's  going to be Mrs Robert soon, I'm getting married to Robert. Also, sign the divorce paper and send it to Robert's address." Mom said
I heard walking footsteps and immediately ran to my room.
My mother slapped my dear father, I will not forget this.
--------------------------------
I hate these flashbacks.
I hate them.
Why do I keep getting them!?
Fu*k it.
I check my watch, it was 8:30 AM! Holy fu*k!
I have appointments from 9 onwards, I better get going!
I had bath, changed into a simple white shirt with blue denim, took my white coat with me, ate an apple and left.
I reached my clinic in 10, my assistant was already waiting there.
"Good morning,Dr Wilson. Would you like some coffee?" Asked my assistant, Lyna.
"Yes, please. Also tell me about my appointments today, check if all of them have visited me atleast once or not," I said.
"Okay, ma'am. I'll get you your coffee and handover you records of the patients," She said and left.
Lyna was my father's assistant's doctor who worked in the same clinic.
Lyna came back in 5, she got me a cup of coffee and a file.
"You've 14 appointments today, 2 of them are new patients. One is a newborn and another is a 6 years old girl, I have their test records." She said while handing me over the records.
I started scanning the records of the new patients I had today.
The 6 years old girl had an allergic reaction. Hmpf.
The newborn was named Shane Brooke, son of Lyra Brooke.
Lyra Brooke, I've heard this name somewhere.
Lyna knocked and opened my cabin's door.

"Dr Wilson, your first patient is here,"
She said.
"Send em' in." I said
She nodded and left.
A few seconds my long term patience, Athena with her dad entered the cabin.
I have a special bonding with Athena who is 9 years old. Her mother left her dad when she was 5. Just like mine did. Except for the fact that I was much older at that time. I was in my med-school.
Athena has Juvenile diabetes, a hereditary diabetic condition. She takes treatment from me and her aunt who is an endocrinologist.

"Hello, honey. How are you? How's my sweet sugar?" I asked while they were sitting on the chairs.

"I'm happy, how are you Dr Wilson?" She asked
"As usual, I'm tired. So what are we doing today?" I said
"Checking if everything is fine!" She said
"Yes, now answer my questions. Do you feel weak while you're doing some work?" I asked
"No, I didn't." She replied
I asked her few more questions and fortunately no distress was observed.
She went home with a candy.

"Next." I said

A young beautiful woman entered my cabin, with a baby in her arms.

The woman had beautiful pair of eyes, they were green with a hint of brown, her hair were brown too. The baby was so angelic, I couldn't stop adoring his cuteness. He was atleast 5 months old- wait what!? But the reports and records state that my second appointment was supposed to be Shane Brooke, a newborn.
Before I could say anything, the lady spoke.
"Hi, I'm Lyna Brooke and this is my son Shane," She said
"Hello, um I don't want to be rude but Shane is described  a newborn in this reports,"
"Oh my goodness! That must be a printing mistake," she said awkwardly
But the laboratory never does any printing mistake.
Well, this is confusing.
I let it go.
"Okay,moving on, what's your concern, ma'am?" I asked politely.
"Shane has this gastric problems mentioned in the reports, I worry about his bowel movements," she said.
I checked the baby and gave her some mild medications.
Through out this she seemed very polite and nice.
"I'll need a follow back after 2 weeks, do not forget to bring him, also let me know the progress on my email," I said.
"Yes,of course. Thanks Dr Wilson." She said and left my cabin.
I checked the remaining 12 patients till 4 in the afternoon and went to home.
