Matts POV -

I woke up to the shrilling sound of my alarm clock beeping. I sit up yawning and turn to him the stop button. That when I saw a note from my little sister Sarah with only the work "HI" written on it in bright blue.

Because it was written by a 4 year old i could barely read it. I laughed and set it back down. Heading to the bathroom I grab my clothes that I had choose last night, getting ready for my shower. I stepped out of the shower my brown hair still dripping wet, I looked in the mirror and into my eyes. The reflection looked back. I sighed at the sight of my "rare" purple eyes and freckles. I hated my eyes.

I wrapped it in a towel, got dressed and went downstairs to see my brother, Josh sitting at one of the bar stools. Great. He saw me he smirked,

"well, well, well." he laughed as he said it sending chills down my spine, "If it isn't Mr. Perfect." He gave me that nickname when i was little. I've always hated causing trouble. He was another story. Josh stood and started walking closer me.

I glared at him I shrunk down avoiding his glare. I tried walking past him but he grabbed my arm. I gasped but managed to hold back a scream.

"Where do you think you're going?" He smiled as he asked. I swear he was going to hit me if not for my mother Grace walking in. Thank god.

He threw me to the side slamming me into the wall. I quickly ran to my room before she could see me. I ran back in my room and grabbed my backpack. Looking over at my desk I realized I had almost left my phone here. I grabbed it and saw two texts from Ella. Ella is my best friend, always has been. Ever sense we were 5 when we met. I laugh at the memory.I fell off the swing and was crying, she ran over and comforted me until i stopped, ever s that day we have been inseparable. We tell each other everything. EVERYTHING. It was scaring sometimes. the first text was from 20 minutes ago,

"Hey, are you going to be at school today?" I read the second one which simply said "I need to tell you something. But I want to tell you in person." Uh oh. I quickly typed a reply saying I would be there soon and rushed out of my room and down the stairs into the living room where i found my mom. Perfect.

"Mom?" i tried getting her attention, she just hummed in response.

"Can you give me a ride to school?" I really didn't want to walk.

"No, Matt you are 15, you are more than capable of walking yourself to school today. Plus can't you see im working?"

"You're always working" I mumbled to myself and instantly hoped she didn't hear me. "Okay mom, then i'm leaving now. I'll see you when i get home."

"Okay honey, thank you. I will give you a ride home." I gave her a questioning glance and she finally tore her eyes away from her computer in front of her. She noticed me look and her eyes quickly fell to her hands. She looked back at me and whispered "I promise I won't forget baby".

"Okay mom, I really have to go now." "Don't forget this time!" I giggled only half joking. She laughed too as I headed out the door.

I sighed as i stepped outside, her work is really getting to her. She hasn't been sleeping, she hasn't been eating much either. She was starting to take after dad. He was almost never home, always at work or out at some bar or stripper club.

I closed my eyes as the cool March breeze hit my face, it felt nice. When I opened them I saw and boy walking by, going to the direction of my school. I wonder if he goes to my school? I went off to school making sure to keep a good distance away from the stranger boy. He was cute. Even though I could only see the back of him. I couldn't help but stare. He had a nice body, nice butt.
