Chapter 29 - i missed you

I woke up to the loud and startling sound of wheels hitting the ground. I panicked for a second, before realising that we'd just landed in New Jersey, home. Kendall smiled, squeezing my hand reassuringly.

We left my Aunt's house this morning, and the next time we see her will be at my wedding, and I'm so excited. When we left, I couldn't help but cry. We just left knowing that someone wouldn't be there for the next time we come back, and that's really upsetting.
My grandma was a great woman, but I know that she'd want me to carry on as normal, and live my life like she was still back in Florida. It will be hard, but I'm doing this for her, and I hope I make her proud.

I grabbed my bag, climbing down each step of the plane carefully. New Jersey, it feels good to be back home. I looked at Kendall, who laughed when she saw the look on my face.
" what're you so excited about? " She giggled.
" I've not seen my fiancé in two days, but it feels like it's been ten years " I sighed, and she smiled.
" well... if it makes you feel any better, I haven't seen my husband and kid for a day! To be honest, it was a nice break... but I missed them a lot " She said, making me laugh.
As soon as we got through the border security and everything like that, we walked towards the exit of the airport, a rush of adrenaline hitting me. The second we stepped out, I saw Grayson. He was on his phone snapchatting, and I could hear him telling his supporters about how he was waiting for me. He soon turned around, a grin forming on his face as he made eye contact with me.

I laughed at him, and he smiled widely, as I ran into his arms and hugged him like it was the last time I'd ever see him. My legs were wrapped around his waist as he spun me around slowly, placing a kiss on my cheek.
" I missed you so much, even though it was only two days " he laughed.
" I missed you too " I said.
He placed me down, his hands now on my waist while he pressed his lips against mine, god I missed him. I pulled him in for another hug, I just wish I could've done this while I was in Florida. The smell of his cologne made me feel relaxed, and the feeling of his squad tour merch jumper he had on did too. He always wears that, so I'm used to it.
" so how's things? Is your Aunt doing okay after what happened? " he asked, and I could tell he was trying to figure out how to ask.
" she's trying " I sighed, looking down at the ground, until he lifted my chin up with his finger.
" listen, it'll be okay... she wants you to ft through this, and I know you can. Alright? " He smiled, and I nodded faintly.
I held his hand, swinging it up and down as I walks with him and Kendall towards the car.
As soon as I spotted Cameron and Jayden, I pointed to them for Kendall. She went rushing towards them, picking Jayden up and swinging him around in the air as he giggled. Family goals, am I right?
" one day, Anna, one day " Grayson smirked, and I could tell he knew what I was thinking.
" How's Jay? " I asked, placing a quick kiss on his small nose which he smiled at.
" Cam!! " I laughed, hugging Cameron quickly as he helped me put my luggage in the car trunk.
I got into the backseat with Grayson and Jayden, as Kendall and Cameron got in the front. All of these comments on Kendall and Cameron's posts about mom and dad seemed real for me right now, I was sitting in the back like their child.

As soon as we reached the house we said goodbye to Kendall, Cameron and Jayden, who had just dropped us off. I was happy to be home, but I mainly just wanted to go to bed, to be honest.
" I'm home!! " I yelled, soon getting the fright of my life as Ethan tackled me in a hug.
" we missed you A " He laughed, punching me in my arm playfully.
" Don't punch me you piece of shit " I joked, smacking his chest playfully.
He pulled a funny face, holding his hand over his chest in pain.
" oh shut up, you're really that weak? " I raised a brow.
He laughed, regaining his balance and shouting for Olivia, who had a large smile on her face when she came down the stairs.
" I missed you girly! " she said.
" I missed you too! " I squealed.
" how about we go and plan for tomorrow? " Olivia asked, and I nodded.
She grabbed my hand, leading me up the stairs before Grayson and Ethan stopped us.
" what's happening tomorrow? " Ethan smirked.
" dress shopping " I laughed.
" but I wanted to spend time with you today... " Grayson groaned.
I smiled, as Olivia answered for me.
" we'll be half an hour... Anna and I need to figure out what time and which shops to go to tomorrow, but I promise after that you can have her " Olivia said, and he laughed.
" okay " he said, and with that we both ran up the stairs.

We opened the door to Grayson's room, jumping on the bed and laughing as we did so.
" so, which shops? " I asked, wiggling my brows.
" oh come on.... you know I actually just dragged you up here to talk about the baby! Otherwise Ethan would've found out " she giggled, and I nodded.
" so when are you guys announcing it? " Olivia asked.
" at the wedding " I smiled, and she jumped up and down with excitement.
" wait, so only Kendall, Ariel and me know? " she asked, holding her hand to heart as if she felt honoured.
" and Gray of course... but before my grandma died I told her too " I said, and Olivia nodded.
She pulled me in for a hug, rubbing my arm comfortingly and smiling.
" that's good " she sighed, and I stood up, making my way towards the door.
" where you going? " She laughed.
" I want to see Gray... " I groaned, and she rolled her eyes playfully.
" fine " she said, standing up and leaving to go find Ethan.
I knew she was only kidding, that's what our friendship is like. I quickly called Grayson up to his room and got into the bed covers, enjoying the feeling of the cold sheets on my skin. Seconds later he burst through the door, canon balling onto the bed while shouting my name.
" you're such an idiot " I laughed, as he now climbed into bed with me and pulled out his laptop from underneath his bed.
" the idiot that you're marrying in two weeks " He smirked, as I rolled my eyes.
" what movie we watching? " I asked, snuggling my head into his muscular arm.
" I'm thinking we just watch some dance moms... I've not seen that in a while and I figured that you'd probably want too " Grayson sighed, pretending that he didn't like it, when we all know it's his guilty pleasure.
" yes! Grayson I know you love it " I giggled, and he clicked on the new episode.
" I don't love it... it's bearable " he chuckled.
As soon as it started he jumped up, looking like he'd just forgotten the most important thing in the world.
" shit! I forgot the popcorn, pause it please! " He yelled, running out of the room like he was afraid of waisting any time.
I think that's my point proven.
I was hysterically laughing by the time he came back to the room, and he handed me the sweet popcorn while cuddling back up next to me.
During the episode I kept glancing over at Grayson, who was too intrigued in the new episodes to notice. His smile obvious and his cute dimple, with his eyes glowing from the light of the laptop screen in the dark. One hand was rubbing circles on my belly, while the other arm was wrapped around my waist, with my head resting on his chest. I could feel his heart beating fast, and I looked up at him to see him already looking down at me.
" you make my heart beat like that " He whispered cheesily, making me chuckle.
He's so freaking cringey, but it's cute I guess.
" oh yeah... why? " I said, now my chin resting on his hard chest.
" because you're amazing, and the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on " He said.
Okay, that did make my heart melt a lot... and I felt myself blushing to the max at his compliment, even though he says it all the time.
" Cheesy " I muttered, making him chuckle a little.
I felt his chest vibrate when he laughed, and I continued to watch the episode with Grayson.
As soon as it came to an end, I felt my eyes beginning to close, and a kiss being placed against my cheek.
" Goodnight beautiful, I love you " Gray whispered, and I can tell you that I fell asleep in the best way possible.
